240Z_Master
I might be interested in 2 wheels because i recently bought the first pair. Watanabe R-Type 16x9 w/ -13 offset In gunmetal [240hoke's color] with a machined lip. Like 1200 with shipping included (estimated). And since I get wholesale, I don't charge California customers any tax.
bjhines
Well if everyone had wats at Pep-Boys, no one would want Wats. The reason you pay top dollar for the wheels are because no one else has em. Also the R-Type wheels are one piece wheels so they're not rebuildable unless you get the other 2/3 piece Watanabes. Holy crap... This is not a designer label on a pair a jeans... If Pepboys carried Wats at a reasonable price EVERYONE WOULD BUY THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or are you saying that the Wats are just an overpriced hunk of whitemetal made in China... That would make you kin to the New York Taxicab drivers selling designer purses out of the trunk... When you get an exact quote let me know, and one more thing. If you get enough buyers, approx when will all of this take place?

Boosted1
Even at 2300, I'd still be interested. I will definately be watching this thread.
240Z_Master
I just found out the cutout date for the container is Feb 26th. So get your orders before that or another 4 months I take it.
240hoke
+1 For Quoc, I bought my Wats through him and was VERY happy with the way he did buisness. Good communication and very fast delivery on the wheels. Again here is a picture of my "overpriced hunk of whitemetal made in China" wheels
bjhines
hehe... No offense.. I was just taken aback by the comment that their only value lay in their rarity... Obviously they are lightweight and strong wheels.. I am just a little frustrated that our market gets such poor coverage... Kudos to 240Zmaster for importing these wheels... They're super awesome wheels... I like em on other appz too besides Z's. It's so wierd because I don't have a set myself =(.... I guess my longchamps are going to have to hold until I can roll in some sweet cash.
bjhines
Another neat looking lightweight wheel is the Revolution Classic... They compare well to the Wats in weight and race suitability... But the Revolutions finnish is terribly executed... they were meant to be abused.. but look like crap up close... That is why I took interest in this thread.. The Wats are some seriously nice wheels... in every detail...
240Z_Master
I can get these as well if anyone is interested.
bjhines
damn that is a lot of machinework... I can assume an equally high price... The Asians know how to do finish work...

Again here is a picture of my "overpriced hunk of whitemetal made in China" wheels Its about time theres a group order on this . 16X9.5 and 16x8 R type. Do they go any darker than that?. I am interested if you can quote me.

I am interested if you can quote me. You can get them in black for an additional $30 per wheel. So you're looking at about $2400 total for machined lip, color, and the 16's (throw in free shipping I think). And if I can get 5 solid orders, we'll make things happen with dropping the price =)
greenmonster80
The deep lipped Hayashi rims are sharp looking. I hope to be able to get in on the next group buy for these. I need some time to get rid of my current 9.5jj fronts and 12jj rears. Looking to switch from magnesium to the aluminium machined lip style this summer. The estimated prices on these sound pretty good. Expensive wheels but this is about as close as you are going to get for new waatanabes... I just bought my tires today 400+ bucks so it gets expensive....
