b__sosick Posted June 5, 2007 Author Share Posted June 5, 2007 thanks alot! i think the "smoke" or fog you see is because the sun was out all day, and then it drizzled for like 10 minutes so all the humidity was rising up. it was a sauna out there! There are some really problematic vw's out there made before 2000. :knock on wood: All VW cars produced before the year 2000 were assembled in Mexico. My brother had a 97 Passat, 1.8t. He had problems with his also and traded it in on a Mazda 6. on the other hand... a friend of mine had a 97 or so model that ran forever..
