kellhammer
Is it true, ROTA is coming out with a 16X8 RB series for us old school z car guys RB have a panasport look and are available in different offsets
e_racer1999
yes. a member bought some, but the offset was a bit far in IIRC EDIT: 15x8: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=123375
rudypoochris
http://rotawheel.com/rb1.htm Should already be out... also the 17X8.5 is out. I'm currently in contact with Kim Bong @ Cosmic to see how many people they need to run widths in excess of 8.5 in. Her last reply, yesterday: Hi Yes we can make the widths more than 8.5 If it is a lot of demand. Yes Our mail order can give discount for 20 wheels or more. Kim My response: How much demand would you need, how do we get the wider widths in action, how long would it take? What kind of discount for 20 wheels all Rota RB 17x8.5? Thanks
JustinOlson
I'd be very interested in a set of 15X10 rotas RB's with +4 offset. This would be perfect for the Hoosier 275/35-15. Would anyone else be interested? The 15" RB's clear 12.2" wilwood brakes, so I think it would make a nice affordable track wheel. rudypoochris
Right now I am just asking her about 17x9 to 17x10. Mainly because that is what I am looking for. Something in a 15X10 or 16X10 seems to be quite limited for tire selection. Hence why I am asking for 17. Her email is kim@rotawheel.com though, never hurts to ask. JustinOlson
Honestly I will go either way. I'd like a 17X10 or a 15X10. The new hoosier radial is the perfect tire for a road racing 240z. 275/35-15. I'd love to run them, but its hard to find a wheel that will clear wilwood 12.2" brakes. The 15" Rota Rb's do clear, hence my interest. I e-mailed Kim about it and am waiting on the response. Bartman
... Should already be out... also the 17X8.5 is out. ... I don't think they're actually out yet...but it should be soon. Rota's main web page now say's the new wheels are coming in July, but I think they started saying they would come out in May http://rotawheel.com/. Kim told me that my order for 17x8.5's has been placed and to date and I haven't heard any updates. I sent another email for an update. JustinOlson
Hi Justin, For 5 sets or more, we can do special custom bolt pattern and offset. For custom dimension or width we need 25 sets or more. Kim
rudypoochris
Yep. 25 sets or more she said. I have no clue how many people are interested. I think I shall start a group buy.
JustinOlson
Thats 100 wheels. I'd be game for a set of 17X10's but I havea hard time believing that 25 people will agree on that size. Justin

Justin Ya I agree. Nothing ever got done by not trying though. So here it goes: Rota Group Buy for 17X9.5" RB's http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=785018#post785018

COmputoman
What wheel setup would work best on an 82 S130? Will the RBs that have the 4 lug setup work directly with the s130 without lug converters or spacers? Currently my s130 is 1 inch lowered; what wheel setup would be best for clearance and no rubbing. jimbob_racing
There doesn't seem to be much interest in the 16x8 wheels anymore, does there?
JustinOlson
The Rota 16X8 are just now coming out. The only 16X8 in 4X114.3 currently in stock has too much offset(20mm). http://www.rotawheel.com/AVAILABILITY.htm
JustinOlson
I was just looking at the above chart some more, and they not a RB-R 16X8 with +10 offset. Seems workable: RB-R 1680 10 4X114.3 73 FBLK 24.00 RB-R 1680 10 4X114.3 73 RBRZ 4.00 RB-R1680 10 4X114.3 73 HBLK 4.
JustinOlson
Here's an ebay link for 16X8 RB's in +10 offset: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16X8-ROTA-RB-R-WHEELS-240Z-280Z-AE86-AS-PANASPORT_W0QQitemZ140142331113QQihZ004QQcategoryZ43957QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting Regards, Justin
KTM-EXC
I talked to 18Racing about the RB-r's and they sent me a picture. They RB-r's look completely identical to my old Konig rewinds so I decided not to get them. They are only available in Bronze(Polished lip) Flat black and Hyper black I believe and +10 offset like you said. She said sometime in August they will have silver with polished lip in +4 offset but who knows how long it will end up being. heres the picture she sent me of the RB-r's
Toostinky
Does anyone know the difference between the RB and RB-R?? I can't wait till the silver/polished 16x8 +04 comes out!! Randy (BTW those look nothing like konig rewinds, but exactly like panasports IMO)
