jknc90
Is this HID lighting worth anything or is it junk lol. I know that with some kits its not true HID or its just isn't very good. Could those of you that know what you're doing offer some advice lol. Thanks http://raleigh.craigslist.org/pts/375480120.html
e_racer1999
HID is FTW but the key is in the projector. several people on this site have converted and there are plenty of threads about them. search fir HID

CArFAn
ok there is more than one meaning for that which one are you using?
80LS1T
The kit your are referring too is pointless unless you have proper lenses for the HID system. If you install those in standard headlight housings it will reflect light all over the place and are actually illegal on the street. If you installed OEM projectors or buy a projector set up then you are ok. Go to www.hidplanet.com for all your HID questions, the guys over there know waaaaaaaaaay to much about these headlights and the site is run just like ours so search first and then ask questins! I hate to add more useless info to this thread but what is "FTW"? Guy
CArFAn
just said it FTW= For The Win look around here http://www.urbandictionary.com/
80LS1T
well I dont know what "for the win" means but if QFT means "quit freaking talking"(nice version) then I think someone needs a timeout!
CArFAn
i know and it means "quoted for .the. truth" and i didnt say anything to make e_racer1999 say that
80LS1T
Ok that makes more sense! LOL Man this thread sure did get side tracked! Guy
e_racer1999
haha, i was just saying that FTW means for the win, and i quoted carfan's answer as the truth..... somewhat of a stretch, but i'm known for that anyway, hidplanet is a GREAT resource
jknc90
ok a little confusing with everybody getting side tracked lol. I think I've got it though. SO if I bought that kit and put it into an OEM projector housing it would work?
zedevan
no, the point of a hid "kit" is they rebase the xenon globes so you can put them into say h4 housing, actully they have a pic of all the different globes they sell and they have the proper globes in there, however in comparison to buying an OEM kit from HID planet that has proper bosch (etc) electronics you really would be wasting ur money on the cheap crap search hid planet, there is some h4 projector out of some car you yanks get that only costs like $50 for a pair and has an ok output when modified correctly, i can't remember the name though...and the difference is all in the projectors, look through some of the pics of ppls setups on it, sooo sexy
