All members returning except Michael Anthony wonder why maybe because he is buds with Sammy? Diamond Dave mentions that it is a new band and not a reunion. Let's see what happens. First concert in NC in Sept. JMortensen Posted August 16, 2007 Share Posted August 16, 2007 Apparently Mike wanted to play with Sammy's band as well, and was told if he was in Van Halen he couldn't be in any other bands. So he told them no. That's what I heard on the radio. I also heard that the weren't going to do it at all because they couldn't get Mike and Wolfgang didn't have that insanely high pitched voice necessary for the harmonies. Shortly thereafter Eddie went into rehab and now they're apparently going to give it a shot. I like Van Halen, especially the original line up. I just hope for their sakes that this doesn't suck. First of all, I hope all of you are having a great Summer!! I want to thank everyone for all the support you're shown me during the past months. I'ts all been pretty crazy, and I just wanted to bring you all up to speed. Alot of you have been asking about the upcoming Van Halen tour and my response to it. It's not that I'm not touring with Van Halen because I'm going out with Sammy, I'm going out with Sammy because I was not invited to do the VH tour. Sammy told me that if I was asked to be part of the VH tour and decided to do it, it would be totally cool, and it would not tarnish our friendship in the least!! Well it's not to be, and life goes on. I'll still be out there with Sam, and I can't wait to do some partying with all of you. One last note from myself to all the Van Halen fans out there who will be attending their shows...Wolfgang is a great kid, so don't judge him too harshly. They went on sale at 10 this morning and were already sold out at 1130, so I got them on ebay for only about $10 above face value. I figure since they are appearing on the MTV VMA's and if a repeat of the '96 VMA's happen and they break-up again, or after the first show if they call it quits at least I'll get my money back.
