Guest Crispy Chicken
708 hp 668.8 lb-ft torque 18psi at 4,100 twin-turbo, all-aluminum, 265ci, Buick V-6 295-pounds !!!!! I saw this thing first time a week ago and still have a woody!!! In a 2200-2400 lb Z.. I'd have a heart attack and die! haha http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/engine/buick_v6_turbo_block/index.html
Pop N Wood
Hood clearance could be an issue.....

bjhines
I don't think it would fit between the frame rails, who needs a hood. Looks like the alternator will have to work off the back.
veritech-z
hood clearance is never a problem...if you've got power tools and tin snips.
Guest Crispy Chicken
Yeah, That set up might not fit.. What grabbed my attention was the platform, numbers, size and potential. It could always be set up in different configurations to work with whatever your putting it in. They claim that set up is 295lbs.. I've heard people say sr20's are 330-350lbs but I don't know for sure....
GrommitZ
Be careful with your back on your next visit to the grocery store. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=115995&highlight=ls1+weight&page=

Scottie-GNZ
That's an all-aluminum block and a fairly mild tune for that engine. After all, it was only running 18psi. Speeder will easily top that when he gets his iron-block/alum heads version into "Porker".
Guest Crispy Chicken
Yeah, I can't wait to see his car running..

nismoluv
it would be sweet if you relocated the intercoolers underneth the hood vents, and shot the exhaust right out the fenders. better yet stright up!
MJLamberson
wait, it really wont fit in a Z? that would be so crazy fast, reminds me of the thread "how much does it take to scare you" or somthing
OlderThanMe
wait, it really wont fit in a Z? that would be so crazy fast, reminds me of the thread "how much does it take to scare you" or somthing You just have to change the intercooler tubing... EASY fit with such a small and light motor. The question is if you have the ($)$$$$
MJLamberson
nope, no money. wouldnt that mess up the weight ratio? it wouldnt be 50/50 any more.
Vintage
Its not 50/50 to begin with. Being that it says its only 295 lbs (way less than an L6, and much shorter, I imagine it would make an S30 feel like a rear-engined Porsche.
