  1. You need to reclock the compressor housing, and it should fit fine.
  2. I quite like the rears in that pic, and with a little work, I could see the fronts looking good too. Slap a type 3 on the front and widen it, and I'd rock it. On the other hand, this reminds me of... what was the name of that website? Showcars-bodyparts, thats it. The website reminds me heavily of it.
  3. Your car is SUUUPER clean, and you got mad skills with that camera
  4. Sounds like it could be a rear main seal, pray it is not :/
  5. I would use a stock gasket for that power level
  6. You wont need fenders for your 86, they are the same(for your purposes anyway). Need the hood, headlights, and front bumper cover. Probably more little things too, but been awhile since I looked into it.
  7. I'd rather be a smart ******* than an idiot anyday. I think brake checking is stupid though, as is tailgating. I just dont care enough to even notice if the guy behind me is pissed.
  8. As was said, the crossmember is different, but I recall some modified the nonturbo one with relative ease. On ours(also an 86) I recall we had to mount the alternator on the opposite side and had to extend the wires to it. Also depending on what year ecu you use, you may to need to modify the turbo downpipe and use a different O2 (unless you get it all from the same car, or buy a specific year downpipe/ecu)
  9. I love the green, first thing I thought was "Damn, Phils car in that color would look incredibly awesome right beside Chris blue Z."
  10. I would go with a semi-gloss black, not really flat, not really glossy. Would probably stand apart from the exterior just enough without looking out of place.
  11. I have used the rad support on a parts car before. Wouldn't hesitate to do it on a nonjunker. Also have used front bumper support byputting 2X4 on jack.
  12. The lens leads me to think repro, as they dont quite continue the shape of the car, just kinda fill in the gap, so to speak. Your car is VAARY NICE!
  13. To deliver mail. These are very common here, and are perfectly acceptable in a mail car.
  14. I would put some early lights on the back, get rid of the taillight center panel, then maintain it. Extremely clean looking car, very nice find.
  15. Man, I could have sworn my mid-year 75 didnt have the hump, but I went out and looked, and sure enough there it was under the tunnel carpet. Dunno how I never noticed it before
  16. The seatwell on the 280 is only smaller on the models equipped with a cat, though, isnt it? I know the 75-76 Non-Cali cars dont have the hump for the cat.
  17. My thoughts exactly. Pick it up, cut a little bit here and there, drop a convertible top on it.
  18. Convert to mechanical, it's not that hard.
  19. The turbo ECU has different plugs on it than any nonturbo 75-83 wiring harness.
  20. Yes, the PCV valve on the N42(probably N47 aswell) must be plugged and relocated if you want to keep it.
  21. That picture was taken 3 years ago, its on the ground (mostly) now. But believe me, it was very sturdy, couldnt have knocked it off if you wanted to.
  22. I'll be 19 in 5 days. Bought my '75 just after turning 16. My father bought a 93 240SX hatch 5 speed with no options except ac and floor mats brand hammer new. I remember when I was little everybody referred to it as a sports car. He told me way back then when I was 16 the car would be mine. Well, plans change, and he traded it for a Sable for his wife to drive a few years later. I started getting into cars in a big way when I was 12, and acquired a 66 Mustang when I was 14 as a father son project. I started to want something to drive while working on it, and remembered the old Nissan. Shortly after, my brother bought an '83 5speed coupe, and I was hooked. Still havnt driven my S30, but its getting REAL close. Since my 75 became a project much like my Mustang, I ended up buying a clean '76 Ford Maverick (Dad raised me Ford/Nissan) for 500 bucks as a daily driver - You can see me wearing my MSA datsun shirt, haha. Unfortunately, this car was totaled last year, in a very wiolent way. Log through the windshield type stuff.
  23. I'd love to see some of your stuff, Veritech. Seems like I remember you were pursuing a career in art, wern't you?
  24. 19 in 7 days, should be driving my 75 280ZT with auto-to 5speed swap, and Z31 ecu soon after.
