md614
I have the oportunity to buy a 91 turbo supra. The only problem is the timing belt is broken. Does anyone know if it wasted the valvetrain? I wanted some knowledge before I drove to check it out and do a leak down test on it. Thanks. supra goddess
They're non interference Good luck.. the 1989 and newer 7MGTEs have the better (read: very slightly thicker) engine block.
GODCHSR
Does that mean 'very slightly heavier'? hehehehe
supra goddess
Does that mean 'very slightly heavier'? hehehehe LOL, probably. Seeing as the MA70 Supras are pigs anyway, I don't an extra 15-20lbs of iron really makes much of a difference

GODCHSR
That's right where the Z32 is at as well... big cars with hardcore suspension
supra goddess
Fully optioned mk3 Supras weigh around 3,700ish lbs, that's with turbo, targa top and automatic transmission. Yikes!
GODCHSR
That's really heavy since some tow trucks weigh in at 4500! hahaha I guess add a bit more weight and a tow hitch. The power is there I guess. hehe
