Lukaniuk Posted January 4, 2008 Share Posted January 4, 2008 I blew the gasket between the turbo and exhaust manifold on my L28et and am having a difficult time finding a replacement. (Besides Ebay). So I am wondering: 1) Does anybody know where I can get one? 2) is the gasket necessary? 3) are the gaskets found on ebay worth buying? Any input is appreciated. Pyro Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 I don't use a gasket. Just use a thin layer of high heat rtv. I have been running it that way for years with great results and I hate exhaust leaks with a passion. Heat high rtv has also worked well on 2 of my friends turbo cars. You can pick that up at part store like auto zone, advanced auto parts, etc. It should be red or black tube of silicone gasket maker.
