Z-Gad
I have been mocking up the Z31 5-lug front hubs on my 71 240Z. My dilemma is that the spacing of the Z31 hubs spaces out my current Wilwood brake rotor an extra inch (toward the wheel). I was wondering if there was any interest in a Wilwood rotor hat and caliper bracket that would allow the use of the Z31 5-lug front hubs that puts the brake rotor back where it shold be. I was talking with my machinist and he suggested seeing if there was anyone else interested in doing the same mod before I have just one set made, so that's what I was doing... Z-Gad
Another option is to make spacers that bolt between the hub and rotor to allow the Z31 5-lug hubs to be used with any 240z brake rotor and calipers... Mike

1 fast z
I use Wilwoods with Z31 front hubs. I ended up bolting the 13" rotor to the back of the hub, just like Z31 factory uses. I use a wilwood superlite caliper as well.
ShaggyZ
I'm somewhat interested, but I don't think I'll have the cash flow to spend on that right now I use Wilwoods with Z31 front hubs. I ended up bolting the 13" rotor to the back of the hub, just like Z31 factory uses. I use a wilwood superlite caliper as well. Hey! Look who's unbanned! Z-Gad
I dropped off the rotors and front hubs at the machine shop yesterday to have a spacer made. I'll update this thread when I have more info... Mike
fastzcars
I'm doing the Z31 5 lug hub conversion. Doy you have any updates as to what size spacer was needed? I've got conflicting info some say 3/4" and other's say 35mm? That's 15mm difference! Any info would be great!

stony
I have z-31 spindles on my car and hate how far out the wheels sit. if you are talking about something that would fix this i would be interested. i would also be interested in info on smaller brakes that would bolt on to the z31 strut. My current setup (Z32 calipers on z31 struts) need 1.5 inch spacers for 3 inch wheels to clear the calipers.
stony
Any updates on this??? im considering redoing a set of stock struts to 5 lug so i can use my current wheels. 3 inch wide wheels that require overfenders look stupid ;>
