Anyone tried these? Ive been researching on HBZ about boost controllers and have found various brands both cheap and expensive, and than I saw these. You obviously get what you pay for but arent boost controllers simple by design. What makes this so cheap and would this work fine with a mild turbo motor? (10-12 psi) Im going to continue to search around HBZ looking for other options. Thanks

That ebay one is the same as this...

I messed around with different spring rates and was able to get really good spool. I am happy with it for sure. I got mine from ace hardware, and ended up using a larger diameter stiffer one then he recommends. I am running 20psi with no creep.

I bought a cheap turboxs one a few months back and it didn't work at all. Low boost setting was 9psi, and if I gave it a quick jab at the gas it'd spike to 12. Later I built the one in the link (same as the super-cheap one on the ebay page) and it worked just fine, no problems at all.

Use the home-built one.

Hey Challenger! This thang work? Bought it anyway. Thanks for the spacer advice. Skilsaw with an abrasive blade..1 minute. 60 minutes with a die grinder and 4 bits. Have to find a better way of doing this, but it`s done. Thanks again, Roger

  • 11 months later...

I got a turbo XS one of ebay ... it was missing the needle... tried to blow up my car . . 15lbs on a stock RB25 isn't a good idea . So if you get one just give it a quick check like any cheap-o part and make sure it is assembled correctly. I am now using a Turbo smart manual controller and it is working great!
