hello, again Z masters

i just got another 78 280z and was able to start it after

it has been sitting for 1 year and a half.

the problem is that the motor will not rev past 2500 rpms.

idles fine..starts up nice...

i've change the air flow meter and still the same .

changed the fuel and fuel filter.

changed the plugs and wire and cap and rotor.

sprayed either and found no leaks .

check connections and vacuum hoses..

...injectors click nicely...

i'd appreciate any idea's or answers..

Computer can run with out the tps unplug it and see if it helps. Most def. check your timing too. And as for fuel pressure are you getting enough?? If Im correct I think you have to have about 34psi. And one more thing. How well is it running at idle?? Is it a smooth idle??

Also check the wiring diagram to see if they share the same 5 volt reference voltage circuit.

Even newer obdII cars will throw a code for a tps when the real problem is the map or mass air flow sensor for the very reason that they share the ref. voltage circuit.

Very common in jeep 4.0 liters.
