Cheapest way to use finned R200 LSD cover

There are simpler designs out there, but this was the first structural welding I've done, so I made it extra beefy.

It looks like it's bent in this picture, but it's just an illusion...

Test fit...

It turned out to be a handy place to mount the fuel pump and pre-filter. The pump is almost level with the bottom of the tank to help with fuel pick up.

Square TUBING? I don't think so. You need bar stock to make the part you're thinking of. I saw a pic of it earlier I'll try to dig it up.

 

Really? What part am I thinking of? Could it be the pic of the part in my above post?

 

Maybe I'm calling the material wrong, but it is plenty beefy enough.

 

And in the parts in this pic? Of course I am using the stock rear crossmember, then cutting out what I don't need.
