Is that time of the year to put my beast to rest and away from the lethal salt , each year it becomes harder to do this >>> attachicon.gifCAM00332.jpg  :frown:

Yep - I usually keep driving until they put salt out, and then the Z only comes out if there is good weather and there has been enough rain to wash the salt off the roads.  They are predicting snow flurries on Thursday - hopefully not enough to bring the salt trucks out...

I feel like I'm a little late to the S30/LS2 party. I knew it would be a fun get-together, but I had no idea of what a blast it would be. I joined the party just last week. It was an addictive, sensory overload experience, like having my own raucous, wicked fast amusement park ride!. Now, I've got to put it away for the winter… pegs my "oh crap-o-meter".

I realized my registration expired last month and since I haven't driven it in the past month I figured I would call it a season. I started to replace the manifold gasket and it looks like the car has already made friends with the local rodents   It was sitting in the engine bay while the car was running!:

My goal now is to make the car more enjoyable to drive next season. Until then I'll be battling all the crusty pieces in my engine bay.

Is THAT what all that white stuff is in the Facebook Photos I keep seeing?

During this "Winter" salt falls from the skies in the "Rust Belt" to kill cars and other metallic objects?

Got my boat back from winterizing yesterday and it started to snow here about an hour ago.  Supposed to be about 50 tomorrow, though, so it isn't going to stick around.  I've had the snow blower warmed up and ready to go for about 3 weeks now.  Time to put the battery tenders on the boat and the two Z's.  I'm expecting a big commission check in December which will allow me to do a bunch of stuff to my 280Z28 this winter - some of which has been waiting for a couple years. This spring I'll be putting two new tires and a set of shocks on the Z32 convertible as well as getting a 4-wheel alignment on it.  Should be able start the next driving season in pretty good shape if all goes to plan. Sometime in the next year I hope to get the 280Z28 back into a paint shop and freshen up the 18 year old paint on the car.  Seems like it never ends when the cars are used as daily drivers.
