  1. Not sure if this will help anyone but this is what I did. Purchased a VLSD cheap (just the guts). Installed it in my R200. Got 2 output shafts 5 bolt from 92 300z and 4 axles. Made some adapters to go to the wheel side then cut and resplined the axles (27 splined). I have not driven the car yet but I think it should work. Here are a few pics
  2. Congrats!!!!! It sounds truley awesome. It makes me want to drive mine even more I'm shooting for around friday for the first ride
  3. All I know is that in 2005 Harley Davidson switched to dot 4 because they offer anti skid brakes now and dot 4 handles the heat better
  4. I am close to starting the LS1, it had 39k on it and I don't know when it was started last. What steps should I take before starting it ? Thanks in advance
  5. First get the JTR book its priceless when first starting and will save you alot of cash on mistakes. I did my 350/700R4 for about 3k it ran well but I can't seem to leave well enough alone . LS1/T56 is about a week away from having some serious fun but I'm in to it about 7k and thats me doing all the work. So as always it comes down to the mighty dollar.
  6. Thanks Guys....Yes its Johns Kit. Its very well thought out. If I had known you were going to Hot Antioch Nites I would have gone to see your car. I didn't go just because I wanted to enjoy the heat in my driveway while I worked on the Z.( it was soooo Hot) Got the cold air intake and some wiring done plus some little stuff. I got my comp & harness back tonite but instead of installing it I had to put a altenator in my commutor(Harley). Sunday sounds good also.
  7. Thanks Mike, I see we are neighbors. We will have to hook up soon .I might need to pick your brain on a few details if you don't mind ?

  18. Yes it can be done you would need the output shafts from the vlsd they are special
  19. Start with the JTR manual its will pay for its self many times over. Read it 3 or 4 times and then I think you will have a good idea of what you will need and want. He makes it easy for the first timer. But you seem to be on the right track . And you don't want a computer controled trany just a 700 R4.
