did you get the out put shafts with it ? They are special for the VLSD

I had an Automatic in my Z but its nothing like the 6 speed . I had both 3.54 and 3.70 I prefer the 3.70 it make 6th more usable. A sports car just don't seem right with an Automatic IMHO

it can get a little confusing. First you said you got a R 200 from a Q45 from the JY did it come with the output shafts ? You will need them and that would also determine if you are going to need 5 or 6 bolts flanges. It is a VLSD correct ?

I found the info on LS1tech. Its 17 teeth .

I just did the swap in my 75 Z I put a VLSD (the guts) from a 96 300z I think. I used the vlsd out put shafts ,made my own adapters and cut and resplined my axles http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=103221&highlight=resplined

Well It fired up last nite , I don't think it turnned of one time and it was running. I was late and dark so I shut it down . I have to go do a quick job then I'm back to check it over and then a drive. It seemed to idle faster then it should anyone have any ideas ?

NO they never got hot enough to where they lost their hardness

Yes I cut each one LOL and used carbite cutters because of the hardness

yes its easy , I used my old ring gear just unbolted it. I had to make small bushings or spacers the old bolts were 10mm and the new onds were 12mm when i bolted it up to the new unit
