Thanks for the replies. This car will see a good amount of track duty. I've not dyno'd my engine yet, but it is a cam'd LS6. suspension is poly bushings(camber adjustable) tokico springs and struts (not adjustable). upgraded tension rods, shortend steering knuckles. I will be going coil over however. 1 inch sway bar front along with rear sway bar. 3.9 R200 LSD. I tracked my car quite a bit running 15/ 225's hoosiers all around and a 3.0L stroker motor. Car still had quite a bit of understeer. for the record, i like GO more than SHOW. I went ahead and orderd 9.5's all corners. Jumping in with both feet!!!

Looks like i'm getting a set of the Rota RB's for my 240Z. What set up would be the best? 17X9.5 all around? or 17X9 up front. Can anyone tell me the handling characteristics from these setups? I have the fender flares installed, but i wanted to see if there were any handling benefits from running the 275's on all corners.

i have a slide hammer/axel puller set. While this tool not work?

i still need to do that. I worked on my Z31 CV shafts last night. Got them modified to fit. Now I just need to get the stub axle kit and rear bearing set.

thanks. I ran those numbers on a virtual dyno and thats about what it showed (however accurate those programs are). Just wanted to make sure this wasnt a build for supercharger set up or something. I dont plan on getting that crazy with it.

I'm finally getting back to my project. I purchased the LS6 awhile back. I was told that it did not have a stock cam in it. I was told that it measured 218/232 .620 118lsa? Can anyone tell me what to expect from a cam with a grind like this? I took off the valve covers and noticed that it had dual valve springs with titanium retainers so I assume that the cam is in fact "not stock" Can someone enlighten me? thanks in advance.

got a 240z and going with an LS6/T56 set up. Got a JCI kit. this is about where I'm at haha

it's been said that if you want to be succesfull at something, hang out with people who have already been succesful at it. Anyone with completed or current LSx projects in the Dallas area? I'd like to opportunity to meet some like minded people in the area, and see what the end result looks like in person.

update: I've decided to keep my car and see this project through. I have purchased an engine and am moving forward haha

also has stainless steel brake lines. I replaced the front ball joints. Steering rack inner and outer tie rods. replaced brake master cylinder. replaced brake booster.

actually I live in Frisco, TX now. Just havent changed that. Car has been garaged the past 2 years waiting for me to have the time and money to do something with it. Paint is in excellent condition.

I just need to sell more of these Porsche's, Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. Seems ironic doesn't it? "someone buy this Ferrari so I can fix my Datsun!"
