  1. Ernie's a great guy. It's not the same place without him!

  3. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119098&highlight=primadonna An interesting story, not highly technical tough. May be time appropriate with the win at the Nationals in Judged Ultra Modified.
  4. I am running the 285 A6 Hoosiers on the front, I can attest to it being tough at low speeds. You need arms like Popeye. I checked in to electric power...very cool. Check out this link. http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/03/sema-flaming-river-electric-power-steering/ The unit is very small, and has a variable assist control knob. I was in till I saw the price...at $4000.00, I figured my arms could use the work out! Just thought of something. If you have the quick ratio steering arms, that'll make it tougher too.
  5. I think it would be interesting to evaluate Vortex Generators on the S-30. Has anyone that has them noticed a reduction in smell in the car. Soley based on a reduction in odor, I bet you could sell a bunch.
  6. Hi Mike, If extreme is what your looking for, I could make the Primadonna, and/or Zwolf available. Rog
  7. I like the part where; The tires will last 50 minutes at top speed, but....you only have 12 minutes of fuel!
  8. I mounted mine under the inspection hatch on the drivers side. There's enough room to mount the pump under it. Sure makes wiring, and plumbing alot easier with it up front. .

  14. Hey Juan, And just for that reason, I may give you the silent treatment. You were missed! And 1 Tuff Z....I had hoped that no one notice that picture. Amazing how you look after a few days with no sleep. Rog
  15. I enjoyed the opportunity to see the Orange G-nose 240Z at the convention in Daytona. What a nice car!
  16. Well ZCON 2007 has come and gone. The Primadonna received a 1st in Ultra Modified, and scored well enough to be one of the few judged for Gold Medallion. I thought this would be the appropriate place to give a note of thanks to Jack Atkinson, and Mike Ouellette for taking the time 25 or 30 years ago to build the car, and to those attending the show that were so supportive of the car. After all these years I am happy to be the one that was able to display the car, and get some recoginition for their efforts. The show was interesting in that alot of people that knew of the car from books, magazines, and the internet finally got to see it first hand. The styling is very subjective (as are most modified cars), and you either like it or you don't. The uniqueness of the Primadonna is that all of the body parts were handmade by Jack over the course of 7 1/2 years, to fulfill Jack's vision. On the performance end, Mike compiled an impressive list of significant parts that would make the car perform on par with it's Road Race looks. I was most impressed by people's polite response, and comments about quality, fit, and finish. I was caught by suprise by those that expressed a change in negative opinion of the car once thay had a chance to look it over personally. Thanks to all that put in so much time having, and coordinating ZCON 2007, and to those that came out to support it. It was fun. Roger
  17. I would have to agree with Cozy, finish the project. You have the right to change your design as your preferences change. Jack Atkinson the designer of the Primadonna's spent 7 1/2 years in the design, and build stage on the first car. During that time many things changed, and influenced his final design. In the end you'll always get some criticism, but you'll always have the satisfaction.
  18. Congrats on your challenge resuls David! I enjoyed meeting you, and some of the other Hybridz guys. Having two cars there, and pulling Hospitality duty for all of the VIP's, and Dignitaries, didn't allow me a lot of time to get out during show hours to see alot. Last time I bring 2 cars by myself! Congrats also to Bill Coffee! His "Iron Man Award" could not have been more appropriately named. Bill was always around to help as I attemped to move the cars around to the different venues, and deal with the trailers. When it came time to get out and do our laps on Daytona's famous tri-oval, Bill drove Zwolf. One of my goals for the week was to get a picture of the Primadonna, and Zwolf on the track at the start finish line. I gave Bill the signal coming out of turn four, and we pulled side by side for the finish line. Big fun, and the sound of Zwolf's supercharger screaming as he hauled ass up from behind was amazing. Will stokes, always ready with his camera, captured the shot from the grandstands. My sincere thanks to Will. All in all, regardless of the bugs, heat, salt, rain, wind, and Tornado Warnings (during the car show), I had a great exhausting time. I am always amazed at the ingenuity of the Hybridz guys! A spare tire.....Clever!! Hmmm Cleveland...Ohio?? Something to think about. Roger
  19. You find all the coolest stuff! Why are'nt you at the convention??
  20. Thanks for the kind words Juan. I'm still trying to finish the Primadonna, some things are just not going to get done before the convention. But I'll be there with both cars. Hope to see you there.
