  1. Thanks for the quick reply guys. I knew i could count on you guys. So it looks like the CCW Classics. But i guess, i'll have to do a 5 lug conversion if i want them, since i checked the website and it only gives options on different sizes. I might just go with the bose forged... Hey BayAreaZT, do you live down the street from Quimby Oak on Stevens Lane? I think i've seen your car, or at least a car that looks like yours! Nice ride. I'm over on Aborn, and just got my ride running, maybe you'll start seeing me around in my green Z soon to be silver.
  2. Hey Guys, So somehow the wife was convinced into letting me keep the car. So now, i'm back shopping for wheels. I saved this photo of the car since i liked it so much, but can't seem to find the owner to inquire about the wheels. So can someone tell me what kind of wheels these are?
  3. It all started with my older brother and his love for the Z car. About 8 years ago, my older bro was trying to get me to check out this Red Z down the street that was for sale. i was 18 and was still into the import scene, and at the time had only owned Honda's (88 civic, 87 integra, 86 legend, 91 civic hatchback). And at the time, I thought the Z was hideous. My brother and I were really close, but he grew distant after breaking up with a girlfriend of 8 years. After college, he came back and asked me to start a datsun project with him. His name is Dat btw. I bought the project, a 72 burnt orange running Z from another guy living down the street for $600. It was the first car i owned that wasn't a hand me down. We started the project, which became my project. The look of the Z grew on me. 3 years and 3 Z's later (72 240z, 74 260z, 75 280z), i find myself dumping my money into my 75 280zt that i think is so SEXY. My wife is much sexier though...just in case she ever reads my stuff...lol
  4. I posted pictures of my RSX 2004 Type S seats in this other thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=121121&page=4 Recommendation: Go S2000. I had to change over to a 13 inch steering wheel, or else no leg room with this swap.
  5. These are 2004 RSX type S seats. I did the same thing the member with the S2000 did on his. Bang down the tranny tunnel on the driver side. The 240z's tunnel doesn't have that extra bulge like the 280's does, which you guys probably already know. All i did was chop off the RSX brackets on the sliders, and made custom brackets using the OEM L brackets from the 280z's sliders. The seats barely clear, but fit in the car just perfectly. My cousin put S2000 seats in his Z, so i was able to compare the difference. You get less clearance to the ceiling as you can see with the RSX seats. The RSX seats are also a lot bigger and weigh probably 2 times as much with all the junk in it ie:airbags, heater, etc. S2000 seats are also much more comfortable....maybe i made the wrong choice. If i had to do it again....S2000 for sure.t
  6. Wanted to leave some memories of my car, wife is saying it has to go....still trying to keep it.
  7. Hey Tkach attached is a pdf of the 75's wiring diagram. Hope it helps you out, i'm doing an 81 turbo setup in mine, and this diagram saved me big time! If you print it out, it's about 4 pages. I printed it out and taped it together to see how everything was routed. 75_schematic_diagram.pdf
  8. Someone mentioned that they would like to see the P82 without the webbing, so here's what it looks like. Took a total of 10 hours total of cutting, smoothening out the transitions, and phone calls from the wife. Something i will never do again. It's cheaper to go out and buy one(time is money). Let me know what you guys think!
  9. I understand that I have to make my own hinges to bolt the hood on, but the carbonfiber isn't straight on the right front edge. There's even some carbonfiber exposed on the front tip center corner. Moral of the story, I should have purchased my hood from betamotorsports. That's what i get for being cheap. If any of you are interested in a picture of the carbon fiber pattern not being straight on the front right corner, let me know and i'll post up a picture of it.
  10. Hey guys, I just bought a CF hood from RACEONUSA, and the hood wasn't completely finished for bolting on. The front edge side surface was not smoothened out, and the bottom FRP frame did not have holes cut out like in their advertised pictures( for moisture purposes?). I called them up to tell them, and the guy there told me that "it's nothing, your going crazy over something so minor. Just get some sand paper and sand it down." Well, if you buy something for $339+160 ship+ $40 tax= $540 you'd expect the product to be completely finished ready to be put on. Then the idiot told me to ship it back and pay shipping, so that they can send me another %$#' ed up one. DON"T BUY FROM RACEONUSA. I should have paid attention to their other feedback about the crappy service and other %!*' ed up hoods.
