  1. I have a complete bracket kit off a 76 280z if you still need one. It will work for a 240z since I have the same brackets on my 72. Only 2 bolts will bolt in, the other side I padded with some rubber molding. $30 and it's yours. Includes the fuel pump holder bracket as well as the main bracket that bolts to the body. Only thing it needs are the 2 screws to hold it to the main body bracket. I'm near the Evergreen Valley College.
  2. PKZ, I have some steel headlight buckets from a 76 280z if you're interested. $50+shipping for both. You can pick up or pay for shipping. I'm in SJ,CA.
  3. I got a t5 on my 82 Turbo motor now. $500+shipping. I'm in San Jose and can ship via greyhound.
  4. I got one still on the manifold if you still need it. I'm in San Jose. $10 plus shipping. Or I'll be in Elk Grove this Thursday, if you want to meet up at Surf Extreme. Let me know and remove it.
  5. Hi Gary, Got any left? And is the price still $25? Thanks
  6. Those were found on 75 280z's specifically. Since your car was a 74 260z, the drive shaft shop probably guessed you had that bolt pattern. I had a different situation where I swapped differentials, and found out the hard way that the flange in my 75 was different from other years. So you have 2 choices: -Swap the flange off your diff to match the new driveshaft -or Swap the flange off the driveshaft to match your diff
  7. FOUND....please delete. Thanks! Hey guys, I'm in need of an R200 mustache bar for my 240z....preferably in the San Jose Bay Area to avoid shipping cost. Pm me, and let me know what you want for it.
  8. Hi Zeeboost. I got one from a 76 2+2 that had an R200 in it. $45 plus shipping cost to your zip. PM if interested.
  9. I got one for $50 if you're still looking, and I'm in San Jose. You can pick up or pay for shipping which shouldn't be too much since you're relatively close. Here's my CL ad. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts/5383896888.html
  10. Hey savage, Tokico does not sell to the public directly. I had the same issue back in September when I upgraded my 75 280z to illuminas. My set was missing 1 glandnut, and I went in circles with tokico before I ended up with someone telling me I had to go through a dealer. You can contact SOHI performance which is located in Carlsbad, CA. They sell them for about $13-$15 each Plus shipping from what I recall. 4A16085-A is the gland nut part# for 280z rear struts. Hope that helps.
  11. Hi guys/ladies, Im looking for a clean 77-78 hood preferably in San Jose/SF Bay Area to avoid shipping fees. Pics and price please. Thanks! If interested, I have a 240z fiberglass airdam with the license plate mounting area in the middle for a straight trade. Or a p82 or n42 intake for trade. Otherwise I can just pay cash.
  12. thanks for the info fellas. I initially went out to a welding/machine shop and they were trying to charge me $60-80. At those rates better off to buy the ones available on the market. But I'm not too fond of the available options at the moment. Would benefit both parties if another 280z owner has the welding skills and wants to save themselves sometime not having to figure out the dimensions for the brackets.
  13. I have some brackets that are in developemental stages. If someone is in the bay area (San Jose,CA) willing to donate some of their welding skills please let me know. The pieces need to be cut out and welded. Currently templates drawn out on a 1/4 inch thick piece of T6061 aluminum. If you have a 280z and want 240z bumpers, you create yourself a set without having to do the measurements. As you can see i tried bending it and they cracked...will need them cut out and the left bracket welded. I've already made them in flimsy steel, and they just weren't holding up as well as I had wanted them to.
  14. Looking for a 77-78 280z hood with the vents no dents preferred, but minor dents are acceptable. Local preferred to avoid the shipping cost, but anywhere in California to Nevada is cool. I have a shortened driveshaft for a 240sx 5 spd transmission swap for trade if interested.
  15. Thanks man! Exactly what I was looking for....
  16. Looking for the diff mount to get rid of the funky stock belt one. Price shipped to San jose, ca please.

    Redrill?

From the album: Driveshaft input flanges

Possible solution to redrill 280z bolt pattern into subie flange. If i don't want to change out the driveshaft...

Took a pic of the flanges side by side so you could see the differences. 2005 STI R180 flange (Round) 1975 280z R200 flange UNK 240z R180 flange
  21. I know there are plenty of threads related to this swap into a 240z. I used the Wolf Creek Racing adaptors. Here's an issue no ones mentioned so far, and that is if you're putting this into a 280z, you'll have to get a new driveshaft with an input flange that matches the R180 Subie diff. I realize now most car guys probably already knew they would need a new driveshaft made. It's not a direct swap even if you have a 240z with an r180. Bolt spacing for the subie input flange and 240z driveshaft are different. I had the 240sx 5 speed tranny conversion, and had my 1975 280z driveshaft shortened to mate to my r200....which I was no longer able to use since the bolt spacing did not match up to the subie r180. The 75 280z's r200 input flange is larger and is not a direct swap over to the subie r180 either. Extra cost your might not be thinking about.... Couple of options: Redrill the subie differential input flange to take the 280z driveshaft bolt spacing....(may not be balanced) If you have a 240sx transmission in your Z, buy the one piece 240sx driveshaft, and have a driveshaft shop shorten it. I believe the bolt spacing should match the subie r180. Have a driveshaft shop replace the flange of your current driveshaft with one that has the correct bolt spacing for the new subie r180. Or take the route I went with, just have a whole new custom driveshaft made :).
  22. Thanks hcarrickz3. I ended up getting one locally!
