Painless doesn't make wiring harnesses for foreign cars.
You're kidding right?
Painless is a universal harness you cut to fit your application.

Ummm, that looks like the one I have on my 77, but it's a stock piece.

That thing sound like a diesel. I can't say what the problem is from the video, but it doesn't sound good.

I don't have a picture, but it comes off the thermostat housing.

Yeah I would look into the typical tune up items like plugs and wires first. The voltage change could be associated with weak plugs making a harder draw at that point for some reason. That is odd though. Post the datalog?

Check the service manuals

You always need to recheck your lash pad clearances when replacing the camshaft so there's always a possibility of needing to replace them. Good measure says to replace them anyway. Remember, with the P90a you can't go too radical on the cam size.

I agree on getting a tuneup. Any performance part wont do anything if the car isnt running well by itself. For 100 you can go through filters, sparkplugs, fluids, etc.
If you cant beat them join them.
If you're 16 and still in High School that is kind of hard.

i saw motorsport auto selling them on the web site also.. they are more pricey than they used to be..
i know the felpro gasket is supposed to support a lot of power.. are there any other advantages to the metal other than not blowing at high compression?
MSA lists them on the site, but the 2mm is on back order. Buy one and wait for the phone call, I did. The 1mm is insane in price as is the rest of Kameari's parts.

yeah.. i have tried looking for a job.. but where I live its hard finding a job, without getting hooked up and all.. most of the teens here were hooked up by an older brother or sister
It's hard finding a job in Fresno California??? Someone isn't making an effort. Try getting a job where I live. Wen I was growing up you had to have a car to get a job because there is nothing in walking distance. Then you have to compete with young Marines, dependents and everyone else for a job. Of course fast food is really all there is for teens here so that's where you start, but hey, it's a job.

Kameari make the 1mm gasket and they charge an arm and a leg for it. The popular 2mm MLS gasket was produced by Nissan, but is currently in a back order status with no date of availability to be seen. I tried emailing cometic about making a new gasket, but never received a response back. Good luck, I got lucky and found an old one. Might want to try the Parts Wanted forum and see if anyone has an old one available. They are reusable.

Wow, sharp looking, I know what I'm doing with mine now...

You are 17 years old, I recommend getting a job to better fund the car you have, you're going to need it.

Check the transmission fluid. If she sat for a long time the rear seal might have leaked. Might as well change the fluid for something decent while you're under there. Also check the fluid in the rear differential.
Get some electrical contact cleaner from the auto parts store and a wire brush. Then, clean all the electrical connections really good.
Check the sensors using the tests specified in the factory service manual from here:

The "ballast" above the coil is just a ground capacitor to clean some of the noise out of the electrical system. The red and green have me stumped a bit so they must not be too important, but it looks like you're missing a fusible link box, there should be two side by side just like the one you have. Where did you get this car??? Looks like it came out of a junkyard with all that rust and mess. What year is this?

Unless you swap the cam over, eliminating the spray bar will eliminate any oil to the lobes. You're best bet would be to buy an upgraded cam or have the one in the P79 reground, then call MSA and get the spray bar block off plates and you end up with the same internally oiled setup. Honestly I don't think your oil pressure problem is caused by your cam. I run both internally oiled cam with a spray bar and my oil pressure sits at the half mark of the gauge at idle after warm up.

N42 motor from a late 70s 280 has dished pistons already, so I would start there for safety reasons. Although it's easier just to get a turbo motor complete and drop it in.

I must say, you obviously know what a period is because you used one at the end of the "sentence". That said, please for God's sake, use punctuation and proper grammar in a sentence! It's so irritating to try and help someone out, but you can't understand what they're asking or get a headache trying to read it!

thanks for the chuckles, Naviathan!
I aim to please.

Haha, good stuff. This will seem like yesterday when he's actually asking for your keys to take it out for a spin....

Thankfully I've spent many years studying the Engrish signs found through out the internet and I think I can handle this one...
When you buying a auto from peoples this old usually it can't believe what the other person is telling. So we can assist in find this problem we will be need more infos like plugs color, timing, last filters change and things. So please you get some of this infos and we might can help further.

What panels? Interior panels have clips and foam backing that usually needs to be replaced to tighten up the fit.
-
Wow...That's power there...
Congratz and...well....good luck on finding an upgrade strong enough.

Ummm, I have one in a parts car in my yard. How much is it worth to ya'?
EDIT:
On second thought, my parts car is a ZX...Not sure it's the same relay...
What about a Chemical Engine

Good point...That would suck to get rear ended and suddenly both cars rocketing away from each other or in pieces.
