  1. Sounds like he's looking for used stuff from AZC to save some cash.
  2. XXR 513's 16x8 225/50R-16 Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R
  3. I finished this repair not long ago. I posted some pics at this posting: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=139659&page=2 This section is not made by anyone. You'll have to either hand form your own or have someone cut out the section you need from a solid donor. This is what I ended up doing sense my hand forming skills were not producing results I was happy with. Let me know if you need the actual battery tray support. I have two. My battery will be relocated to behind the passenger seat.
  4. look in the parts cars for sale area. See if anyone would be willing to cut one out of a decent car for you. Cheaper than buying a new panel too. be patient, one will come up. Post what you're looking for in the parts wanted area.
  5. I ordered a set of 225/50 16's. Can't beat the price. $280 shipped!!!
  6. Tire rack has these on clearance. Regularly $147. On clearance for $59 a piece. get 'em while you can!
  7. Anyone know what banjo diameter (10 or 11mm) to use for the maxima rear disc swap? (85 maxima rear calipers)... Also need to know what size (diameter and thread) for the banjo bolt. You can order just about any length you want from classic tube (D.O.T. approved) http://www.classictube.com/brdhoses.asp Thanks
  8. Looks like everything is for NPT. You can get adapters fro AN though. I'll keep you in mind for when i get mine done.
  9. Found a set of energy suspension poly's for $170 shipped. You can get them in red or black. http://www.directtuning.com/store/pc-41398-226-ENERGY%20SUSPENSION.aspx Pretty good deal. i did have to wait for a while (6 weeks to get them). Install was no huge deal for me cause I tore everything down for a complete rebuild.
  10. Stock for LS1 is 3/8 feed and 5/16 return... Is it not? I went ahead and got a roll of 5/16 and 3/8. I figured that there must be some reason GM would have had a smaller return line. I couldn't find any definitive answers on the net either. Better off spending a couple extra bucks now then finding out it should have been smaller and have to re-do it! Anyone else want to chime in? P.S. I'll have about half a roll of each left over after my build if someone could use it. I got the black powder coated stuff from JEGS. Let me know and i'll do my best to remeber when i'm done.
  11. That's what I was looking for. Thanks. In the mean time i drew something up for myself. I'm thinking this will be my final color scheme. yes, Eleanor colors!! I'm a big fan and I think it's more than appropriate for this car. No silver/chrome at all. Front bumper and spoiler will be painted the color of the stripes. Previous chrome/silevr will get painted the body color or the shade of the stripes (not sure on that yet).
  12. That's pretty cool. I can't believe they'd get away with that! No VIN checking back then!!?? I guess replacing the inner mounting surface and outer trim pieces would get you the stock 280 look. My plan is to get the outer rear "skin" smoothed out like I want. Then i'll cut out where the lights will go so they sit flush to the back. I'll rebuild a custom support from the inside and seal everything up with some all purpose door/window gasket. The way I have it planned the ligths will still be able to be removed if necessary. I did run into a small problem with the rear hatch lock catch though. Can't reattach it after painting with the rear smoothed/filled out. I just cut a larger hole so I can get tools down there to tighten the catch and i'll build a cover panel that it can be removed for allignment if needed. I'll try to get some progress pics uploaded.
  13. Does it matter which I use for an LS1? I'm buying 25 feet of 3/8 for the feed line and would like to avoid buying 25 feet of 5/16 for the return. 25 Feet of 3/8 should be enough for hard line from the engine bay to around the diff for a feed and return, right?
  14. Here's a rough idea of what i'm aiming for for the rear end. I started cutting/fitting over the weekend and had one of those "Oh S*%T, what did I get myself into" moments. I'll figure it out though.
  15. I ended up printing a car off the internet and tracing it using a light table. I have photoshop but i'm not too familiar with how to use it. I'm pretty comfortable with some colored pencils! Something to be said for a hand drawn image. Not to mention it's relaxing to color!! Kinda mind numbing.
  16. Great! Glad to see you ddin't let that creep discourage you from keeping up with your plans. I see you still have the other Z. Did he refund your money?
  17. I'm actually a fan of the later style. Also... I'm considering deleting the outer shroud/trim pieces (black metal pieces that surround the lens') and mounting the lights flush to a fabricated panel.
  18. DCZ and 240Z!!!, PM's sent. Thanks for responding!!
  19. I want to do some quick coloring to get an idea on some paint schemes. Anyone have a relatively simple black and white drawing that I can print out and color with pencils?
  20. I knew mine would quickly be put to shame! I met Mark down in NC a few weeks ago. He had a killer shop and a couple unreal z's. Maybe he'll chime in and post some pics.
  21. Mess!!! That's funny! You should see mine when i really get into it! I do a MAJOR cleaning and reorganizing abou every two months or so! Between the Z project and home improvements my garage turns into a wreck of building supplies and strewn tools! The garage is now my "workout" space as well. In laws gave us an elliptical that I will be using to at least attempt to halt my increase in girth. Although, it's been "too cold" to get out there recently.... or at least that's what the wife is told!
