  1. Also, check this kit out at the Mustang Depot at eBay It has a little less than 8 days left, then the link more than likely won't work. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CLEVOR-CLEVELAND-FORD-Stroker-Kit-351-MUSTANG-COBRA-TMD_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33620QQitemZ180096033216
  2. The heads will bolt on 351W and 302 blocks. They have the same bolt pattern. But you have to modify them to work. Thats how you get the Clevor. Check this article out, it shows and tells how and what you need to do it. http://mustangandfords.com/techarticles/30220_clevor_engine/
  3. If I'm not mistaken, the Cleveland timing cover is a flat plate. The block is built out and timg chain is recessed in. Then the fuel pump bolts are straight up and down, instead of cross ways like the 289's/early 302's. The water pump looks the same.
  4. Well it is called BUSH PERFORMANCE ENGINES now 4521 S. 16th St. FT Smith, AR 72901 I hope the link works, it shows how to instass clevland heads on a windsor block. 289/302 and 351 blocks, good article for building a clevor. http://www.mustangandfords.com/techarticles/30220_clevor_engine/
  5. Well the description says hydraulic roller, but the picture is a flat tappet. Pretty radicle cam if it is a flat tappet like picture. It also says that it is not computer controlled campatable also. It does say that is a hydraulic roller in two places, they have to have the wrong picture.
  6. It sounds like a pretty good deal. As for the rockers, It depends on what type the heads require. Bolt down or stud mount. As for the 1:72 ratio, that just increases the lift of your cam, not sure if it changes duration. I would say go for it. With the heads, you will increase your compression ratio a little also, witch means more horse power.
  7. I'm sorry; I was in a hurry this morning. I meant, don't get greedy at the bottom of the exhaust port and take out too much metal. There is a water jacket there. I got too close and mine cracked and spraying water into my exhaust. Witch turned into steam coming out my exhaust.
  8. Oh yes; Port the exhaust ports, but don't get greedy at the bottom. I screwed up a pair of GT-40 heads that way. Anything you can do to the ports will help. Also the E-cam is good. The B-cam is good for a standard tranny.
  9. The Explorer heads are good except for the exhaust valves. You need to put 1.54" or 1.60" exhaust valves in, for them to flow really well. The plugs are angled different also, so you need different headers for them.
  10. It looks awesome. I'm still in the planning stages on mine. Can't wait to get started though.
  11. Now that sounds sweet Ali. It also looks good in there, alot better than the straight six. Good job!
  12. I've have some land that I've got sold and close on next week, that I have alot of stuff stored at. I'm trying to get the stuff moved, so I can get busy with my cars again. Between work and moving, I've been worn out and not getting anything done. I found the front half of the Z peddle assymbly, so that will make it easier to cut the other. I will get it done as soon as possible.
  13. I'm sorry, but I converted this about 4 years ago and did'nt even think of pictures or drawings. Along time before I found this site. I did'nt know how I was going to get the clutch to work. I tried everything that I could think of, to covert the Z pedal assembly for the cable. And nothing seemed to work. So I bought the Mustang pedal assembly, put them side by side and thats what I came up with. While I have this one out of the car, I'm going to look at it and cut the other two where they need to be. Then I will get some pictures and post them. Its going to be a short time before I can do it since I've been busy here lately.
  14. It took me a little while to figure it out. And I didn't know about this site to get help from. We have to thank Mike for getting them posted to this tread. I'm just glad that it will help you and others in the future. I'm going to go ahead and make another, since I have two cars. My problem now is time, since my work is like a roller coaster right now. Its all or nothing.
  15. Thanks Mike; I was not sure exactly how to go about it with the links. Two of the pictures is of a Mustang and another of a 280Z pedal assembly. The rest are of the one that I modified and the two where they are togethere.
  16. I have posted some pictures in the HybidZ photo album of the crossmember that I made from a Mustang pedal assy and a 280Z pedal assy. I mated the two together about four years ago. It uses the Mustang pedals and they seem to real close to the stock location. With this you use the cable to activate the clutch. With this you can use the Mustang power brake booster and master cylinder also. I had to redrill a couple of the holes, but it mounted fine. I'm new at this and not sure how to get the pictures from the photo album to here. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11081&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11080&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11079&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11078&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11077&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11076&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11075&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11073&limit=recent
  17. I got the photos loaded. Go to the HybidZ link at the top of the page, then scroll down to the Photo Album link and they are there. Sorry it took so long.
