  1. My 1978 260z Engine still more or less as it is now But.. as and when I find me a Z31 RB20DET 200zr sump I intend to juck it ...... and go RB power
  2. Many thanks for the info and pointers Looking at the mounts above they don’t seem so awkward to fabricate? Easy for me to say mind, but then I cant weld so would need someone to make them up for me, hence pref a pre made kit I did look on the CRS site, but didn’t see mention of a RB25 kit so would appreciate a link or info if they have some? Out of interest all the posts Ive found so far seem to point to using a 200zr sump from a Z31? Is that the only option, only I haven’t seen any mention of cutting the original bowl and moving it back to clear? Or is that not feasible with a RB25 sump due to other issues ? Btw, I did check today and prices for a 200zr sump alone here in the uk seem to be about £300 (about 550 usd?) and I’m told the pickup isn’t available? Again cheers for the help Wyn
  3. Has anyone got any clear pics they can post up showing available engine and gearbox mounts to fit a RB25DET into 1978 260z. My car is a rhd uk car btw, but I assume they are much the same fixings forr lhd? I've seen some listed on mckinneymotorsports.com type 3 ? (only supplier I've found so far) but can't work out by the pics available how they fit and how the gearbox mount attaches to the cars gearbox tunnel? Does anyone know if the gearbox mount uses the original pick up ears either side of the tunnel ,or is it bolted up through the floor pan? Cheers for any help Wyn
  4. lol the real night rider You guys have all the fun
  5. Bit to far for me, even for a freebie
  6. Lol, unfort V8 engines like that dont grow on trees over here Plus at almost a pound per litre fa fuel we can't afford to run them anyway lol I'm now in the process of fitting a 4ltr engine from a TVR, still only half that tho
  7. TVR 4.0ltr is what i'm trying to fit into mine atm Looks odd as it is there, but thats only cos of those exhaust manifolds. Will try my best to keep them aswell, just to be different lol Few days later Yes I know things are tight but as soon as me alloy rad turns up from the states i'll have a better idea of what's going to fit where lol
  8. My garge Tis ace when the suns out lol Most of the time it isn't tho Wrong country for this me thinks
  9. Hi Appreciate the replies. unfort I think my master plan has now been shot down in flames I thought I had found a 3.7 vlsd R180 in a 3.3 subby SVX I’ve now found out tho that diff will actually be an R160. Saying that I did find another subby diff that deffo was a larger R180, sorry cant rem model atm as it was loose on a shelf. Will try find out.
  10. Hi First the important bit Excellent site this I've tried to reread as many related threads re this, but still I'm a little confused. I believe the early auto 260z uses an R180 diff and uses pop out shafts, i.e on a snap ring? Therefore does anyone know if the early auto 260z shaft will fit in a Subaru R180 differential that also uses pop out shafts? Or to put it another way, can I fit an R180 Subaru differential to a 240z n use 260z auto shafts? Cheers
  11. Strange looking engine is that? Deffo not the same as a uk Ecotec
