  1. I love how all of the running ones are so much more expensive than the non running "But I'm sure/I think/probably/plan to have mine done for only xxxx". This really proves the saying that it'll cost twice plus some what you think it will. I have 18,000 miles on my V8 swap, and crossed $16+K earlier this fall (including what I paid for the car). That doesn't include the amount of money the previous owner put into it. When I bought for $8K it was already converted to a 350 TPI/T56 and already had G-nose/zg flares and was painted and had panasports, rear battery... it goes on.
  2. Anything below 12 and you're just wasting gas and hurting your power output.
  3. Easy solution to that is have the system turn on 5psi earlier than he needs it to, so it's all the way up and running when he wants it.
  4. Urban legend. That's what multi-weight oil is for too. Now I personally wouldn't floor it until it was warmed up, but I've seen people who get in their cars all pissed off in the morning about work and drive off with their foot on the floor and not see an engine problem until over 100K miles.

  6. I used mine as a daily driver for over 2 years. Fuel injection, a 6sp tranny and air conditioning definitely helped.
  7. They are under the FRCs, just like they are in vettes. If you look close you can see the plug wires coming out from under it. Here's an another TPI install but the wires need some cleaning up: link And here's the opposite of a minimalistic engine bay (my daily driver) LOL: link
  8. If you create something, you can say it's copyrighted and it is. A registered copyright is when you file with the USPTO and can make lawsuits easier because it proves ownership. As is, it is copyrighted but in a civil case the designer (Terry) would have to prove that he came up with it before whoever it was that copied it. I'm not planning to sell them. Actually, we made an agreement that even if someone brings a Z to him and asks for those, he won't do it because he doesn't do the same car twice, plus they are personalized for me He is a designer though and would be happy to come up with something original for anyone.
  9. Guy outside of Austin named Terry Deck. They're getting airbrushed between the base and clear coats. He's been airbrushing for 15 years and has a rep as one of the best available, and after seeing his work I'm convinced he'll make them look spectacular. Edit: They are smooth since they are painted but it matches what I've done to my car.. I had the side marker lights removed and such so everything is slick.
  10. These are sketches of the emblems that I'm having made for my Z. I've been thinking about possible designs for a couple months now and tonight I finally settled on this pair. The designs are copyrighted.
  11. Actually I live in Austin, one of my friends is in San Marcos, and the other one is in North Carolina, but the cars are all there in Houston lol :o

  14. I have the covers with trim. How much are y'all willing to pay for a duplicate, and I can ask my friend to make a matching set.
  15. Three years ago, I would have said the same thing. They grow on you though when you realize that you're the only one with them. I just received my NOS fender mirrors from Japan. Those plus the nose/flares and the spoiler are really going to look sharp. 8)
  16. That's definitely the style. Any recommendations on the one to get? It's going to be painted even if I got the CF one.
  17. KrazeeZX's setup can never be a kit because his firewall was cut out and pushed back over an inch....I'm thinking it was 2-3.
  18. I'm looking for the short lip spoiler that goes with the gnose & zg flares. Anyone know where I can find one? Thanks, Sam
