Hmm...pretty cool. I think I'll pull all the rustoleum back off and just do the primer black as a base. The aliens and white outline are an interesting idea...Maybe in an Xbox green.. Let me think on it a while.

very true... My car has been wrecked at least twice on all four corners and some idiot wrecked it bad the last time... He ran over something HUGE that pushed the passenger side floorboard up like 2 inches and left some pretty good side scars on the left rear control arm... Oh well. The tranny mounting is what throws the whole thing off IMO... The body looks in good condition and the motor is pretty nice...

They could use some coating like bedliner but they don't look too bad. It looks like he the car was built pretty cheaply to me... I think he is making a profit off of it... he says $25k of parts but where did it go?! The car is missing one of those floor pan drain plugs FWIW

Yeah free is really good. Plus it has to be painted in my driveway since it has no drivetrain and I don't have a trailer... Anyway I like a tigerstripe that is angled up about 30 defrees from horizontal. Just about like the E-Radatz built race car...I'll find a pic. I like the angle on the "torn" looking graphics...

what parts will/may be used from the pinks car? rear end, special diff mount that was used on it, Z32 tranny w/adapter, rollbar, seat, megasquirt, guages(if not damaged)? I am sure this will be addressed when the build(s) start(s) but I was just wondering...

very true... I am looking for something to just scare the living daylights out of the average person when I pull up to the light. Ricers won't know what to think and then they will lose to this camo, post-apocalyptic, nasty looking old car... Most people have no clue what my Z is anyway...I've had several people tell me it is a Porsche and they don't believe it when I say it's a "Datsun"... Hopefully I'll get some colored pencils soon...or "borrow" my little brother's...Don't know about them artists and not wanting to loan out their pencils...

I'll do what I can to help! If y'all want some full dashboards I can do them at cost (maybe less) for the metal if someone would like to help out with the cost of it. I think the cars should be painted to be the same...that would be pretty cool.

That is a really good idea there CORPCRIM...I sorta want to do this pretty cheap (read under $75 total) so airbrushing may not be cost effective. I don't really know any painters...

If you want to start a group build you should probably get in contact with the admins of this site and then once you have communicating with them start a new thread about a group build... Just my opinion...

hmm... time to go to the store and get some large construction paper... Maybe a "Z" made in different sections with different colors... the guy with the standard forest camo vw made his own stencils with large construction paper. here is where he painted the bug... click on each pic in the link to see what he says about each one http://bugadventures.dyndns.org/vw/camo.html I would like to use the camo but not by itself...I am thinking of some dirty faded black and yellow stripes on the rocker panels. Also I've been thinking of putting the Vin number on the doors in a military font.

I think I'd prefer tigerstripe camo on a Z though...

I'm tempted to go down to big lots and get some cheapo cans of spray paint...brown, black, yellow (for the black/yellow caution stripes), and a bunch of other colors...

I've been trying to look for pics of cars like what we have been talking about and there is not that much out there...Just rat rods which are just rusty cool cars... Haven't found many urban attack cars out there...I'll keep looking. Plus this is HybridZ...No purists here! either for bodywork or drivetrains!
