how did u take the plunger that pushes the MC out? just yank it out as hard as u can? i tried to pull mine out but was pretty tight, didnt want to break anything.

i ordered 2 cages from s&w and highly recommend it. sales rep that helped me was Lee, he's a great guy and very quick with emails and calls regarding the products. got a 8 point one for my 280z and my buddy got a 10point for his ae86. he welded in the 8 point for me (we left out the 2 points to the tranny tunnel) and the fitment was pretty much perfect for the Z. of course we had to cut down the 2 points to length going into the rear frame. only thing is that the door bars arent bent, its straight so it has some clearance issues with the seats. we left it out for now until the car's done then gonna take it to a shop with tube benders to bend it to fit the seats. but all in all a great cage for the price!

anyone knw what tool is used to stamp and punch those round structural strengthening holes in sheet metal? i'm sure a press can do it but i heard theres something small that can do it as well like the size of a baseball? plz help. ty

how do u adjust the rod? is it a screw that adjusts it? i have to do the same thing when i swap my mc

what do u mean it doesnt do much for fuel injected? does it still run with the fuel pump off? i thought it was the opposite?

yea thats why i want to put in a switch rather than yanking a switch. 1 is no one can see it. and 2 is convenience.

yea. that would probably be the last thing a theif would think of. just hide it in an area and the car would be pretty much impossilbe to steal unless they tow it.

...an anti-theft device? has anyone done this? im thinking of just attaching a switch to the wires for the fuel pump inside the car. then i can turn in off when parked so no one can steal it?

awesome! thats what i was looking for. ah. so its external. i guess there is a weight to fabricate and hydrualic pump or canister of some sort to the inside of the car to make it work at "a push of a button". btw my buddie's asking this for his show car. im not goin to put one of these into the zed

you guys knw when u watch dtm races, cup cars, etc etc. they have this hydrualic jack thats attached to the bottom of the car and just lifts the car up by itself when the driver stops and presses a button? where can you get one of those and if its even available?

so my buddy was welding up the mirror holes in the door panel and forgot to roll up the window and tape it. now there's burn marks in the glass. is there a way to remove them with a polish? something similar to cut and polish on paint but on glass? or am i stuck with it?

the way me and my buddy did it was layed about 4 layers of fiberglass over the holes and the dents, then shaved the glass till it was smooth and as thin as possible, filled up the holes with fiberglass filler (waterproo) then topped it off with Icing. even if the icing soaks up water and falls off, the fiberglass filler and fiberglass will prevent the metal from rusting
