Since you did not make a mold of your hood first, are you worried about fitment of the new hood? You have now made the actuall width of you new hood wider and longer by the thickness of the material used. !M!

Are you talking about the nut that is on top of the strut rod or the gland nut that is holding the strut cartridge in the assembly? !M!

I'm going to be mig welding (with gas) some aluminized steel intercooler piping and have a few concerns. Should I grind or sand down the areas to be welded prior to welding? I'm worried about contamination of the weld pool and subsequent hot cracking. Now, I have also heard that unlike galvanized steel, aluminized steel can be sucessfully welded over. Is this true? Any input would be great. !M!

Mike, hands down, the Lex! One of my favorite body styles, it's sexy kinda. Oh and not to mention the Supra engine bolts right in 8) Personaly, for me the Mr. two is two small for me, kind of moving up in the world (getting older), need bigger stuff, not so cramped. I found woman feel the same way. They go from "oh, it's so small, it's cute" to "can I have a can opener to get in this thing?" Which actually can be taken two different ways : Imagine jett'n down the road in your Lex... people drivin' by say'n, "that cat is so money, he doesn't even know it" 8) !M!

Ozcheek, You are not the only one that has had problems. You can see my post a while back about the "strut from hell". The pictures have been deleted from the original site, but I still have them on my computer if you would like a good laugh. It was done very similar to what David K. said.
