Tim240z Rear control arm question
CruxGNZ replied to ToplessZ's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Wow, nice unit Instead of using the delron offset bushings, can one use OEM bushings? I'm assuming so, but you would lose a little adjustment, right? I like the sliders, really nice touch. Align bored for the spindle bolts? Damn, this unit is money 8) Me likey. !M! -
Hey, here is one for you guys. I do a lot of finish carpentry and use pneumatic nailers. I bypass the safety feature on all my guns, otherwise it just makes it more difficult to make precision shots with the guns, because you have to put pressure on the peice that you want to shoot and it sometimes moves just when you shoot screwing up the peice your working on. So in otherwords, the guns are always hot, you pull the trigger and it shoots. In the many years of using pneumatic guns, I can count the incidents on one hand. Well, I was finishing up a foyer and installing a peice of base. I was squating down placing the peice of base in it's spot on the wall with the 2" finishing gun laying on its side on the top of my leg. I get the base positioned and reach for the gun without looking where I'm grabbing. I grabbed the back of the gun and the lifted it up, which pointed the front of the gun directly on top of my leg. My finger slipped and I grabbed the gun again... then I accidently pulled the trigger sending a 2" 16 gauge finishing nail right into the top of my leg. A few curse words, some digging with the pliers and some duct tape to patch it up and all was back to normal. !M!

Ouch! I did something similar. During a finishing job I had, I was routing out some jambs to install the hinges for the doors early morning one day. Well, there was about 18 doors in this house, so there was 36 hinges that needed to be routed out plus the strike plates for the door knobs, so three screws per hinge for the jamb side and two per strike plate comes to about 180 screws for all the hardware. You have to pre-drill each hole with a self centering bit. After the first 50 or so screws I kind of went into this robotic daze and just did the job without much thought. So here I am, early morning and tired when I feel this pain in my left thumb right on my nail. I look down and I guess my trigger finger for the cordless screw gun was a little fast and my other hand a little slow, because I had just predrilled right through my thumb and hit my bone with the drill bit. !M!

I should say that I screwed up writing that. The electric cutout is very nice, the cable pull cutouts have had a lot of bad things said about them (leaks after a while is the main reason) and the three wing nut style with plate cut out is just a pain to uncork and put it back on everytime. !M!

Definetly fight tickets. But, here is one of a few that I couldn't get out of. About 6 years ago, my cousin was having a party, and when the word "party" is said, the family is present in a flash (we LOVE to party, trust me on this one, a few of you on here personally know this ) Well, the party gets going in an apartment complex. The neighbors didn't get all pissy or nothing when a whole lot of people where there. Come 12 AM, the family has left and all the where left were freinds of my cousins (all underage) and myself. We were being quite loud and drinking heavily. Things got a little out of hand betwen a few guys and the neighbors called the cops. Cops show up and bust a few guys for possession and underage drinking. Luckily, the only thing that happend to me was, they put me in charge of calling all the kids parents and have them picked up. The cops told me to stay there untill all the kids were picked up and gone. I said sure, whatever you like (yeah, right) and as soon as they left, we all partied again, but kept it a little quiter. The next morning, I go out to my car to find a fu(king pink slip on my windshield! The fricken bastards had the nerve to ticket my car as they were leaving for some stupid parking violation! The violation was time sensitive. Alright, so these cops put me in charge of all these kids and tell me to stay there. If I stay there, then my car stays there, where they that naive? This seriously pissed me off. I don't put up with this crap, and I kind of have a problem with authority figures. I decide to see the bastard that gave me the ticket by going to fight it. Some time passes by and I end up in court. It turns out that I have no idea who the heck it was that gave me the ticket, because it's hard to see their name tags. While I'm sitting there waiting with the 100 or so people fighting tickets, a peice of paper gets flung at my head. I turn around and a buddy of mine is in court fiighting a drunken dissorderly ticket. We had a few words untill some wanabe cop made me shut up. It came time for me to stand in front of this rather nice judge. I've heard him with other people before me with worse cases and gave them next to nothing, so I figured he would hear me out and have sympathy for me. So I stand before him telling him that I was innocent and the ticket should be dropped, because the police officers TOLD me to stay, therefore I could not leave and move my vehicle. The judge was an ass towards me, so I was a smart ass towards him. He did not like this. I worded it out in plain english and I also turned around to the many people in the seats behind me and told them what had happened to which I started to get a few claps and some people booing the judge. I had the baliffs (sp?) esscort me out of the court room with one of them very quitely telling me "good show, you really pissed him off". A few weeks later, I ran into the buddy that I saw at the courtroom. He said the judge was a "total dick" to everyone after me. I guess I hit a nerve. The ticket still stood, I payed the money, my insurance didn't go up (thank goodness) and I lost a lot of respect for the legal system. Moral of the story? I have no idea, you tell me? !M!

Get an electric cutout, not the cable pull style cutouts. This way, you don't have to jack up your car and lay on your back to "uncap" your exaust. !M!

Never noticed that before, pretty funny. As for the car, ...well the bumpers look nice... !M!

I don't care what you say, the ass end of that car looks like it's crosseyed. My sister was the first to point out the taillights to me. She busts out laughing and had to point out that the car is flawed (she said the first word that came to her when she saw the taillights was "Duhhh"). Although, with this car, I can overlook the silly taillights considering the power at hand. !M!

I really like them! How much are they and how much do they weigh? !M!

Glenn, Awsome car! I love what you have done with it Well, I'm a little late with this thread, but figured I would show my skinny Honda wheels on my Z. They look cool I guess. 17X7 w/adaptor. Will be changing the wheels, well at least the rear wheels most likely this summer to some 5 lug. I'm really going to need some wider wheels. !M!

CruxGNZ replied to ToplessZ's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
$48 each is great! Pegasus, a few blocks from me, has Hyperco springs at $133 for a pair (same as Hypercoil) !M! -

CruxGNZ replied to auxilary's topic in Non Tech Board
Uhg, West Bend is a few cities over from here. There are A LOT of fat people here (thank goodness I'm in shape). Some people should just be shot and the world would be better off not having to deal with their BS... why can't we do this . !M! -

I like those flares, but I don't like where they mount. I tried a new program that I got with my digital camera for editing pictures and was able to show you where I think those flares would look good. Right to the top of the body line, like this on the front flare and the rear flare (first try at this picture editing stuff, so be kind ): Just a slight difference. !M!

Thanks 8) Hahaha, to true! Hey, forget about the hair. Just shave it all off and hope your head doesn't look like your other head Ahh, I have to lay off the Vodka, I can't believe I posted my last response with so many errors Yes, yes I did get screwed with presents. It really did suck growing up, it's like for one part of the year, I would get a lot of gifts, then I would have to wait another 12 months for a few fun days, but that was the greedy kid in me. On the brighter side of things, nowdays it's like a nonstop party for a few weeks with X-mas, New Years, and my B-day Happy belated birthday Moby! Xander, She's from Poland and even if I knew how to pronounce her last name, I wouldn't even begin to know how to spell it. Heck, I don't even know how to spell her first name. !M!
