  1. Congrats! I really like that DVD Factory Five sends you. Those guys seem really down to earth and know what's going on. I wouldn't hesitate to give them my hard earned cash. The Spyder is a good choice, it's got killer looks 8) Are you going to go to any of their build classes? !M!
  2. ds, Since you like the FF Spyder, check out this one. Of course, I'm a little more partial to this particular build. GN Spyder !M!
  3. Say it ain't so Scottie, say it ain't so! !M!
  4. !M! is just my signature. Some people sign the bottom of thier posts with thier name, but since I have my real name in my screen name, I wanted something creative for my signature, something that nobody else does. !M!
  5. There is a couple pictures of a Spearco intercooler install here . The intercooler is not shown mounted, just zip tied for quick fabrication of the intercooler pipes. John, The Spearco intercooler in my link shown above, it has no tabs to mount the intercooler. In your pictures, it looks like the one you installed came the same way. Did you just make a tray of some sort to hold it in place on the bottom and then a similar tray on top? Or did you weld mounting tabs to the intercooler, but I just missed them in your pictures? !M!
  6. Garrett called me and he's heading up to my place to pick up an extra set of working calipers that I had. So hopefully, no more problems 8) . !M!
  7. Mike, If i remember right, 240Z Turbo made CV parts from an Eagle work for his VLSD. If this is what you have, then contact him or look at hiw web page. For information on the clutch type Diff., look here: LSD For information on a viscous limited slip diff., look here: VLSD Just a little searching on the net revealed answers . Hopefully this will show you the +'s and -'s of each diff.. !M!
  8. Just fab up your center console with 1/4" luan. Very easy to work with and very light. Then wrap it in whatever material you like. No need for fiberglass. If you are worried about weight, then just go running around the block a few times. !M!
  9. From what I hear, Ivan pulled the plug on his project. It's still going to be finished, but not in time for the meet. Garrett is very influential. I ended up pulling my Z out today to check everything over to see if it's ready for a journey. First time I've driven it in many months. So far so good. The only thing that worries me, is the fact that I've been trying to blow up the engine and related drive train last year, because it's going to get replaced anyhow (come on, how many times can you do this . If I don't make it to Reynolds with my Z, most likely it's because of a situation that I can't control, becasue the Z seems ready to go. Garrett was filled in about my situation. I'm hopping that I can make it. I'm getting ready for the trip anyhow. !M!
  10. Who's that sexy guy welding those side pipes? To bad I'm wearing my work clothes. Hey, Garrett, I just remembered that I still have that aluminum stock you bought from Ace Hardware to make your intercooler brackets . This little project was fun, although it took a lot longer than expected with all the running around for silicone couplers/adaptors and a new tank of sheilding gas for the welder. Those 90 degree silicone bends saved a lot of time. I'm just glad Pegasus is right down the road. Garretts Z really moves pretty good after the intercooler install, I can attest to that! Ivan, If you see this, e-mail me about your strut housing. !M!
  11. I'm going to try the MMC weather stripping and cut it at a 45 and join it together with the Coolchem Cyanopoxy. It should work out nice. I'll take pictures when the stuff arrives and I install it. EDIT: Well, what I wrote above is what my plan is, but when I go to order the weather stripping from MMC, it asks for a location? So, what did you guys order, was it A, B, or C? !M!
  12. Long? Whoa, it's 87,958KB! With DSL, it's still going to take over an hour and a half for me. Better be worth it . !M!
  13. Here's the auction: GN engine Includes engine, harness (minus ECM) and transmission. Going for $1200 as of March 9th. Local pick up only. Seller lives in Indianapolis. !M!
  14. Last time I checked, maybe 1.5 years ago, that was the price per wheel. Some of the HRE's are not cheap, but they are nice relatively light weight custom wheels that are made to fit out little Z's. !M!
  15. Glenn, I guess I should have said that this is what I have viewed only in this city. !M!
  16. For peace of mind, use a water level and measure from the tops of the strut towers to make sure the chassis isn't twisted before welding in subframe connectors or a roll cage. !M!
  17. I picked up 4 of the #0001 from Wondermagnets.com on your recomendation Grumpy. I haven't had to install them yet, but have had so much fun with these magnets! They are very strong. You can put one on the back of your hand and one in your palm and they will stay put when you spin your hand around. Just don't let them get close to each other . I'll post pictures of the magnets in the oil pan after my first oil change since the rebuild. Should be interesting to see. Nothing is going to get past these magnets. !M!
  18. Now that I'm older, I see the importance of such a watch. But there is a problem, I found that people just don't care enough. There might be one or two good neighbors that are willing to help out, but seriously, the rest don't care. Here, I'll prove my point: Now, this picture may or may not have been taken by me. This sign may or may not have been taken down by me about 12 years ago in a nice high class neighborhood. If I had, which I'm not saying I did, I'm sure that I would have learned that stealing is not right. !M!
  19. Oh come on, am I the only one that owns a Bobcat? !M!
  20. Ooh, you just want to rub it in don't ya? 8) You know I got a taste of the life and weather out there. EDIT: Oh my goodness I'm a moron, (been drinkin') I meant WEST coast. !M!
  21. Damn straight. I know exactly where to shoot to avoid legal problems later. I won the Milwaukee Sentinal Sports Show a few years back for marksmanship (sp?, little loaded right now) with a rifle, so, they are not getting away from me. !M!
  22. What the heck kind of vehicle is this? !M!
