  2. thnx, there was a brand new one on Ebay here that wnt for $12!
  3. Not wholy to do with this thread, but does any one know if the RB30 harmonic balancer will go on the RB26? And are the belts the same?
  4. Mine is circulated back to just the front turbo using the original turbo aluminium air intake on the second minor inlet (if you know what I mean) There is a photo of it on my website http://www.bluevista.net.au regards
  5. Stroker your's is a very clean, neat and dare i say it "pretty" build. Well done. Might have to come and see you in Canada one day. Welcome here if you ever come to Oz regards
  6. I also asked Matt Hutchens the question and this was his response: "Mike, the air chamber is what supplies air to the balance tube above the throttles. It has a main tube that pulls from the plenum, and two tubes that run up into the balance tube. In addition to that, it also "sees" manifold vacuum and has a couple of nice 6mm hose outlets for gauges, etc. " Thanks very much Matt for explaining all that. I need to run a line for my Turbo gauge, would one of these 6mm hose outlets be appropriate for the gauge? "Yep. That or you can use the small one coming off the back of the balance tube."
  7. I read somewhere the following: "use either the brass plug near where the brake booster connects, or the small line that runs off to the map sensor on the right inner guard near the brake booster. Do not tap into the hose that runs from the inlet manifold to the fuel pressure regulator, r the waste gate supply line. If you lose pressure in these two lines you risk killing your engine"
  8. GTR front calipers & discs R200 Z31 diff Quaiffe LSD R31 CV's 280Z rear calipers & discs GTR motor Holden Gemini heater hoses (for turbo oil return) Landcruiser radiator hoses (for BOV return) Holden gearbox mount RB25 gearbox lots of after market bits
  9. Yes performance, I dont know the specifics. The original GTR has them at this location as well, so presumably they knew what they were doing
  10. Here is the R33 drawing which identifies where each line goes to iCollector hoses.pdf
  11. I have put aircon in mine. Used the GTR compressor, got an aftermarket condenser as the GTR one is just a bit wide, and I got a generic evaporator uit from Southern Air/Southern Rods in the US www.southernrods.com
  12. Stroker from all the research I have done, people I have spoken to, I'm sure Mat Hutchens as well - they all say as close to the intake as possible, ie between the intercooler and the Collector (passenger side for you). A guy here who has built heaps of GTRs and races them mounts his now under the Collector, so it cant be seen and has them free to atmosphere. I have mounted mine on top of the Collector and recirculated it, only again due to local Licencing requirements here, that dont allow free to atmo. regards
  13. There is a much better diagram (than the one you have attached) from the R33 GTR manual of where all the lines go. My laptop is busted, once I get that back tomorrow I will put up the better diagram, which tells you which goes to which regards
  14. I think that might go down to the 4 wd sump/gearbox bits I am going through the same thing at the moment, I will try and photograph what w have done with mine regards
  15. Hi Dave I dont know about others but I would appreciate it as I will do the same with my "T". If you dont want to do it on the site, could you send it to my email address mike@bluevista.net.au Can you also explain what the vinyl is and where you get it from and apply it etc? Appreciate your help regards PS where are you in the UK as we will be over there agin in the next year or two, would be great to have a look at your car, & likewise if you are ever in WA
  16. Dave did you put the red vinyl on the R or was it already on it? I am just wondering if I can get a T with the red vinyl on it? Also did you use any additional glue on the back of the letters? regards
  17. Dave that looks sensational! I dont know if you have looked at my website, but I was going to name mine a Fairlady 422T as a spin off of the Fairlady 432 (4 Valves/cylinder, 3 carbie, 2 cams) except mine would be 2 turbos! I made up some labels for the cam cover like you, but when in Manila earlier this year I bought some plastic chrome letters that I was going to use on the body. However what you have done is sensational. Did you have the letters cut from metal and glued on to the cam cover or are they plastic chrome letters as well?
  18. Only second hand or getting one especially made by a fabricator

  24. Good to see another way of tackling it. I think this is a good idea, very straight forward. Are you ok if I put your method as another example in my website on this subject? If yes can you send the original photos to my email - mike@bluevista.net.au thanks
