  1. I used a Holden mount on mine - check out my website to see if the mount is the same as what you are after regards
  2. Here is 2 shortcuts to threads on the gauges : http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=136439 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=140355 I think the 2 best options are keeping your orig gauges and changing them to work with the RB, or changing to the GTR gauges into the orig pods as in this thread. Both are equally in line with the spirit/sentiment of the RB engine change in my opinion.
  3. You can change your gearbox to manual cable drive - see thread on gauges in here regards
  4. Sounds good Paul. Is the RB30 pickup point already at the back unlike the RB26? I'm just wondering whether an RB26 could use the same setup but I think when I tried the sump wasnt available or something?..... regards
  5. KTOWNZ Great offer from RIPS, you should take it! RIPS when you do the pickup, do you not need also to modify the sump to clear the pickup pipework? Thats what we had to do unfortunately which makes more work of it. regards
  6. What sump & pickup do you use Paul?
  7. Surely you can get someone to fab up a pickup over there?!! I thought you guys ran the world and were here to teach the rest of us how to do things? Woops sorry I have been listening to George Bush too much!! Thank god he is on his way out, hip hip hoorah for Obama. If you really cant get it done I could ask my mate who did mine to make another one, however you would need to send over the RB26 pickup and the sump, as the sump also has to be modified to fit over the pickup. However there are others in the US who have done the pickup in different ways - look back through the threads on this subject. Also look on my website www.bluevista.net.au under Motoring then 260Z and then Part 5, 9 & 9a and this will give enough info for someone to make one for you. Good luck
  8. thanks for your selfless service, hope I can repay the favour some day. By the way its 28 Cels here sunny and beautiful - sorry...
  9. Careless you are a champion, even if one eyed for Datsuns....... Thanks for your quick help, really appreciate it. Finding all the bits that I took off the halfcut 2 years ago is proving a bit of of a treasure hunt! thanks & regards
  10. Hi Careless thanks for your help and your eagle eyesight. The tag states: PCM Valve PCM84-03 1495645L00
  11. In WA you have to meet the standards associated with the engine not the vehicle year unfortunately.
  12. Can anyone tell me if the photo attached is the above part. I found it on a loom but not sure if this is the right part? thanks
  13. thanks Booztd3. I have found an Earls fitting that will allow me to mate the s/s hose up to the fitting
  14. Hi guys, how have others connected the fuel line from the tank to the fuel regulator? The standard fitting is a piece of fuel hose between the hard line and the regulator. (see photo 1 & 2) I am going to run stainless steel covered -6 hose from my surge tank through to the front. On each end I want to run AN fittings. As I am fitting the Nismo adjustable fuel regulator I was wondering if anyone had welded an AN fitting on the tube (see reg photo RHS photo) so that it can be screwed to the s/s fuel delivery hose and like wise with the return line. Has anyone done this? Or what other ways have you got rid of the rubber hose & clamps?
  15. Mine's about 3 months away I think. Engine rebuilt & gearbox in, wiring under way, exhaust system in about 1 month, new ali radiator from China in next two weeks hopefully. The to the Police Dept to see if they will approve it???!!!!
  16. Thanks guys. Sorry to ask such a piddly question on the forum, but I didnt want to smash the cam cover being over exuberent in getting them out regards
  17. Can anyone tell me how the right angle fittings at the rear of the cam covers, are fitted to the cam cover? IE are they just a push fit, glued or screwed? I want to get mine out and they seem very firm - dont want to smash anything (I can be a bit heavy handed) thanks, regards
  18. One more Solution for preventing Spun Bearings - Accusump Accumulator
  19. People bolt the RB26 head on to the RB30 engine block, so the same must be possible on the 25 I would think
  20. Thanks very much Matt for explaining all that. I need to run a line for my Turbo gauge, would one of these 6mm hose outlets be appropriate for the gauge? regards
  21. ok, maybe not a good idea then, thanks regards
  22. Hi Jerry thanks for your feedback. Under the collector assembley on the RB26 is an air chamber with the AAC valve attached to that - did you just remove the valve or the whole air chamber and hoses hanging off it? regards
