Sorry to hear you'll have to pay. I got a ticket 94 in a 55. $365 ticket. Went to court for it and got it down to $75. WITH NO LAWYER. I brought my work pay stub and showed that I cannot pay it (at the time in HS I made $75/week) and that I learned my lesson to not race. I got yelled at a bit, but only paid $75. Insurance didn't really go up that much either, and that was in MA. Lawyer or not, definitely fight it. And be prepared.

Hi guys, A guy I know just told me he had a 1984 300zx turbo sitting in his yard. He is going to give it to me if I want it. I haven't seen it yet, and already have a 74 260z project with no money. He said the car ran when it was parked a couple of years ago. It needs new brakes, there is a clutch issue, and a ring needs replacing where the exhaust meets manifold, and the convertible roof has a rip. Any potential with this thing without much investment assuming the engine runs? Or anybody want it? Thanks, Joe

I might end up trying to replace it myself. I don't think I'm going to replace the whole panel, unless when I cut off the rusted areas, I find some extra rust inside the rocker. I've already looked with a mirror and a light and it looks good so far. I will be putting bad dog frame rail covers on to help stiffen the chassis, and new sways and strut bars. Is there a certain way I have to jack the car, or do I even have to worry about it? I was thinking about putting a scissor jack under the middle of the car on the frame rail so it doesn't bend..

Hi, My bodywork endeavor is just starting, and I already got to replace the rocker panels which is going to cost as much as I paid for the car! I am going to get a reaction research cowl hood. It is a well built 2" cowl that you can have vents on the side or not. Its about $500 shipped. Or you could go with a hood that looks like the late 90s early 00s camaros by I beleive 280zone on the boards here. Good luck and I'm sure we all want to see some pictures.

Thanks guys, I went to a place today and the guy said to bring the car by, but it would be 1,000-2,000. So, I gotta put the car back together now to drive it over to some shops and get some quotes. Whats the front quarter panel piece that has to be redone?

No one's ever replaced a rocker? Or even had one patched?

Hey guys, I've posted here before and we've determined I need to replace my passenger side rocker panel due to holes on the top and a small hole where it meets the front fender. Last night I took off the drivers side fender and everything to check out that rocker and low and behold, one hole and lots of rust eating away at the lip meeting the inner rocker of the car. Here's some pictures to remind you of the passenger side and the new ones of the drivers side. Questions: 1) How much would be expected to have a shop replace the whole rocker panel? 2) On the drivers side (one with arrows) would it be good enough to have a long patch of sheet metal made for the top flat part, as long as the rest of the rocker is not rusted? Or should I replace both whole rocker panels? Thank you for any information.

Are those the Fast Forwards? I'm pretty sure they are 0 offset.
