  1. They have a company financing me $3,999 for 18month no interest. I go Friday to become a new man!
  2. You haven't lived until you've heard Pink Floyd's The Wall with Diamond Audio Hex speakers with Silk Dome Tweeters powered by Kicker amp, Kicker L7 12" Sub with 1,000 watts, controlled by an Alpine with Bass Engine Pro system calibrated perfectly. It feels like a helicopter is hovering over the car.
  3. Alpine Type R. Or if you want a little more bass from a 6 x 9 that still sounds good, Kicker's are surprisingly good. My friend has Alpine Type S in his MG and it sounds decent as well.
  4. Here's the sight I found that says it takes a long time to get to a good strength like a normal eye. http://www.usaeyes.org/lasik/faq/lasik-flap-heal.htm It is still pretty safe after a few weeks, but not as strong as normal eyes. The doctor I've talked with said thats why the Marines, and daredevils people can't get Lasik because the flap can come dislodged with a good blow. But I don't do many things that can give me a trauma. If I'm in an accident strong enough to wrinkle the flap, I am pretty sure that wont be the extent of my worries. Anyway, I am setup for 9am Friday morning! Woo!
  5. Great write up Tony D! Yes, I hate working on the car and having to puch my glasses up all the time, my girlfriend hates how I always tell her to back off or be carefull when she wants to cuddle and she knocks my glasses, I hate wall climbing and the ropes hitting my glasses, theres a lot! I got approved for the 18 month No Interest Financing. I have my pre-op Monday, Operation Friday, and Post-Op Saturday. It is Customvue Lasik which is 25 times more accurate than Lasik. I have thicker corneas than average, my sight has stayed the same for 2 years (-3.48 and -3.49), and no astigmatisms. I am taking the pill, because I will be freaking out!
  6. Glasses suck... always fall down when working on the car, at the gym, anything athletic. Europe will be there next year and we can plan a better vacation!
  7. The local news anchor had to wait several years after multiple surgerys, because his eyes were so messed up, before he could get Lasik. He got it where I am getting it and loves it. Been around 10 years I think..
  8. The flap will heal over time, after a few years it will be normal for everyday life. I do not intend to go skydiving, fly airplanes, or become a boxer.
  9. I heard the light is like a kaleidescope. And I would totally freak out during the surgery, but they say the Valume helps a lot. Some people have done it without Valume... crazy!
  10. Ya, I am excited, but nervous about watching someone scrape a blade across my eyes!! I apparently have perfect eyes for it, steady prescription (well the same for 2 yrs and I'm almost 23), no astigmatism, and thick corneas.
  11. Thank you Dr Hunt for that info. I love Travelling, sightseeing, and high definition movies. I like too many things that require good vision to continue wearing glasses which provide glare on everything! Dr Hunt, did you get Customvue Lasik, or just Lasik?
  12. Ya, RK is not as good as Lasik is now. Even RK today is better than RK a while ago. Then Customvue is a higher quality Lasik.
  13. Thanks guys, just the info I was looking for. Those both bring up good questions for me to ask. Jmortensen: Where did your boss get Lasik? and how long ago?
  14. I just had a consultation to get Customvue Lasik with Dr. Limberg. He was on the first team to ever do Lasik eye surgery a long time ago. The Customvue is like comparing HD to regular DVD. Most people can see better than 20/20 within a day of surgery. My girlfriend and I have been contemplating a trip to Europe or Lasik, and since we found out through the consultation that they have 18 month no interest at about a $1,000 discount for the Holidays that really helped flop the scale. I was just wondering if anyone has had Customvue, or any Lasik before, and thoughts... Thanks
  15. Where was this car and coffee? My father lives in Sarasota, so when I go visit, if it is a weekly thing, I may have to drive somewhere!
  16. My tough decision right now is: 1. Get Lasik Eye surgery at $4,000 discounted from $5,500. 2. Go on a trip to Europe for about 11-15 days for about $2,000 - $3,500 As for you, I say finish, then work on the Z32... they are both sexy cars!
  17. Forza has a 240z Fairlady I believe.
  18. Awesome buy! I grew up just outside of Brockton.
  19. Anyone do more searching for Gymkhana? There's a lot more cool videos out there. I love how this guy flips his car around so effortlessly, or so it looks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHgjFPhhzY8
  20. WOW, that's gotta be in my top 3 car videos. Never have I said "Holy sh!t" or "WTF?!?" so many times in 4 minutes.
  21. I remember hearing about the Supra coming back, or a Toyota super car. Saw a concept in a magazine, but haven't seen much in production ways though. Also, I haven't been looking into it that much. Edit: Quik search http://www.2008toyotasupra.net/
  22. I just called and spoke to Thomas. I got 2 part numbers from him for a stronger pressure plate. Just seeing if anyone can confirm these, if it sparks your memory or anything. CC51005, and NSC582.
  23. I feel like I'm in a spaceship on startup.
  24. It looks wierd, neither side of the bridge has a full slice (or entrance) that the arm would have cut into the bridge. Unless, the arm was low, then they raised it up post-F-up?
