  3. lol, theirs an "ice cream" truck at the junkyard with no freezers, only a bed and a couple little hooks. looked legit, with the ad's and prices and all.

In japan, the real drifters, would hang subway rings from the back of their car, so when they got sideways it would scrap and depending on how scraped up it is, would determine how good/much you drift, that later evolved into "drift charms" for the honduh kids and now its just for your average rice.
  5. Test fitted a 95 miata IRS under a 280z today at the junkyard and it fits nice, but I'm worried about how well the miata diff will handle excessive HP and excessive track abuse.

  9. the stronger and stiffer the better for a frame, but what you you plan on using the 1.5" square tubing for?
  10. All the factory insulation really did, was lower higher frequency noises. I removed both floor boards, trans tunnel and the rear hatch with a 1" an a 1/2" chisel and a hammer.

  14. 4x4 dually diesel with a service bed, crane, air compressor, welder and generator. (surprisingly cheap if you look around)
  15. got the sound deadening out of the hatch area and noticed something, why is the spare tire offset to the left by 4.5 inches? would the spare tires weight offset the amount of fuel held in that area of the gas tank? (also got the fuel cell install measured up in the car.)
  16. He would also need different input and output shafts from the datsun trans, theirs also a reason why you keep a spare t5 stashed in the corner.
  17. I think your best bet, would be to do the z31 EFI swap, if your just looking to clean up the engine bay and make it reliable. (you also wont have to spend a grand to use it)

After looking at various suspension and brake setups and looking at the FD and c6 IFS in depth and doing a little math, I have decided to use z32 front spindles, reamed to accept HOWE ball joints, custom SLA style control arms and some other custom secrete bad-asssery, voodoo. I should be able to keep some decent looking geometry. On paper atleast

  22. you might have to shim the spring in the oil pump. (can't remember its official name) Did you replace the pump before you installed the motor?
  23. what RPM? I think the standard was 10psi for every 1k RPM's.
