  1. The only way to do that (like hand him his sack in a jar) would have the screaming libs going crazy. They would rather waste our hard earned money housing and feeding the idiot... instead of letting us spend it on something worthwhile ...like our Z's.
  2. I was searching for information about the cowl drain pipes and your thread came up about your free Z. I couldn't help but stop and read through your posts. Your estimates sound like mine 2 years ago. I got my Z for practically nothing. I looked her over and said $10.000.00 and she will be everything I could want.     . Dude.... 10K will get it stripped, blasted, up on a rotisserie, new metal welded in, sealed, primed and some ancillary parts that you will need down the line. You will not even be close to finished. That is reality. Plain and simple. A rule of thumb to go by that has proved true on my 10K resto:lol: that is now down to putting on the mirrors and tweaking the doors so they close with out slamming and most importantly 30K later. Multiply the time and money by 2.5 and you are close. If you are a certified mechanic, welder, professional paint and body man, schooled in auto electrics... minus .50 from the above. Just the facts man. I am trying to throw a dose of reality at you so you are not left disillusioned. Good luck.... . If you are married or have a steady girl I hope they are understanding. If you are like me ...don't plan on contributing to your retirement program for a while either. Other than that knock yourself out.
  3. Happy Thanksgiving to ALL. This Thanksgiving is a bit special. Yesterday, I had the front and rear glass and the exhaust system installed !!! The last two major installs to be done. So now when family and friends come to the house for dinner... I won't be asked "How's the car coming along". They will be able to FEAST their eye's on the 2 year and 1 month labor of love (some days). It is awesome. In fact I am going out to the garage right now so I can play! Happy Thanksgiving.... and a +Special Thanks+ goes to this forum for all the invaluable information I got during the build. Jack
  4. I know him as well. I have spent many $1000's. "Outstanding" ...is my word for his service, knowledge, honesty and friendship. Sorry that you have the wrong perception of Doug. Doesn't honor ANY PROBLEM REPAIRS. What does that mean? Sounds like you had need for more repair work than you paid for and mistakingly believe it to be Doug's fault. When you say ANY that means that ANY problems or issues that come up with ANY customer he just screws them over. That is what you said...when you used the word ANY. Words mean something...and when used incorrectly they may mean the wrong something.
