  1. hehe rick, read this from the actual post about a year ago. there was also a dufus who put bbs into the intake
  2. i'm hoping to get it up and running by MSA's show, so hopefully in 6 months. I will be leaving the turbo setup stock for now, but I will be running an aftermarket engine management system, probably Microtech. The upside is I won't have to deal with half the sensors and wiring harness, but the downside is that there aren't any EMS units that support electronic oil metering pump (the thingy that squirts oil on rotors during operation), so my options are 1. run premix (2 stroke oil in gas), or 2. I have a mechanical oil metering pump from a series 4 turbo, and the front engine cover, so I can possibly swap that in. and yes, I was a member of JSR for a year, left for 1.5 years, and now I'm back once again.
  3. tell him to forward you $500 processing fee, and tell him that you'll take care of this as soon as his check clears. just don't follow through.
  4. Listen buddy, we don't want to hear about you playing with YOUR inflatable organ!
  5. If I have time, I'll do a diary type thing for progress, but even if I don't, I'll have pictures step by step as always. Couple of things that will present themselves as problems are 1. mounts. rotary is very awkward, and 2. exhaust. the turbo is on hte passenger side, and so is the exhaust, vs. Z's driver's side. Then there's everything else
  6. yeah, i know... mounts are going to be the hardest part most likely... But hopefully I'll have it back and running by MSA show. I'd really like to take my Z there when finished. Particularly because I want to open hte hood, and have people go "What the...."
  7. now you can't give me crap anymore for not putting effort! It begins!

    whoa.

i hope you pulled over and helped. doesn't sound like a very intelligent rider if his helmet flew off bouncing. That means that the restrainer strap wasn't tied, and with that strap in place, a bike helmet won't go anywhere unless it's cut open.
  10. unless those people enjoy spending lots of money replacing tires.... it's just cheaper to invest in a set of steelies with all season tires for daily driving, and run race tires at the track.
  11. 350 total were produced, I'm not sure how many are in the states, maybe under 100
  12. I have a surprise for you! It's rated at 135hp!

  14. i am fully aware of the hatred Osama puts forward, namely going back a millenia to blame king richard's crusaders for slaughtering muslims. But that was a millenia ago. a thousand years ago, for fawkes sake (see how punny I am?) We could get into a huge debate over this, but the difference is that fawkes was trying to make things better for religious tolerances. I don't think Osama was behind WTC to convert the US to Islam.
  15. Blowing up WTC isn't considered liberating, though. And technically, he would've been a terrorist
  16. yes, in the UK children go around asking door to door for guy fawkes donations, which also coincides with halloween. on a side note, I chuckle when I read Guy FAWKES. oh, and happy birthday, tim
  17. if your calipers are marked as S12W, they'll need a machined spacer to go between hub and rotor, and you'll need to get the 300zx 4 lug non-turbo vented rotors from a 1984 300zx. you may also want to look into getting flexible braided stainless steel lines while you're at it.
  18. Transparent Materials 26708.5. (a) No person shall place, install, affix, or apply any transparent material upon the windshield, or side or rear windows, of any motor vehicle if the material alters the color or reduces the light transmittance of the windshield or side or rear windows, except as provided in subdivision (, ©, or (d) of Section 26708. ( Tinted safety glass may be installed in a vehicle if (1) the glass complies with motor vehicle safety standards of the United States Department of Transportation for safety glazing materials, and (2) the glass is installed in a location permitted by those standards for the particular type of glass used. Amended Sec. 2, Ch. 476, Stats. 1998. Effective January 1, 1999. ------------------ i don't think cops really care about the rear 1/4 panels and rear window. i've had my neon's tinted for 5 years now
