  1. coilovers, non-sectioned struts. not bottoming out, undersized tires at 225/50/15 on 15x7s
  2. well, given that i will admit to messing up my receiver when installing hte ATI kit, I will say the following: drill/tap kit is weak - my tap threader snapped with light pressure, and I didn't b end/angle it. the method for making a turn down bolt is crappy, bad leverage is the end result, and it's not flush/clean aluminum rail has no rear support so scope will have a tendency to wobble
  3. I talked to DavyZ this weekend, and his Z is IN THE GARAGE. AND BEING WORKED ON. I MEAN, HE IS WRENCHING ON HIS Z.
  4. NO. ATI kit is junk. trust me on this. I tried one, and it sucks. you're much better off getting a scout mount or something, and a bent bolt. The PU setup is this: Has a weaver rail on it so I can use regular scope mounts, and not limited to russky stuff. Just have to drill/tap the receiver for the base. It's used from a gun forum member for 40 bucks, which is great, except no mounting hardware.
  5. i haven't taken it to that range yet. i am getting a pu mount tomorrow (base too) for dirt cheap, and it has a weaver rail on it. i'll test it out iron sights first, obviously
  6. I already own a california legal AK: $350 brand new saiga 7.62x39. It's almost identical tot he AK, minus the evil features (pistol grip, folding stock, high capacity magazine). The bolt is just a hair different, and receiver will not feed AK magazines. So this is a hunting rifle. It's a total blast to shoot too
  7. you're talking about the STG44/45? sturmgewehr? you had one, or just the magazines? Also, I was on the board back far enough to remember your BS indictment, and HybridZ folks sending you z-car magazines to keep your cheered and motivated
  8. Hey, right now Big 5 is selling the steyr M95 (8mm mauser) for 79 bucks!
  9. http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinHumor.htm So true too...
  10. she has to be about 5'2, C-cups, 32C-24-36, and have a very cute face.
  11. How not to roll a spool of cable up the stairs http://www.break.com/index/how-not-to-roll-cable-up-stairs.html
  12. because from that angle, she wouldn't see me. a change into the left lane would yield a collision
  13. I think we may want to leave it in the original configuration, with the X pipe collector in the middle. Yours is more of a true X pipe rather than the 2-1-2 conversion pictured in MSA's catalog (that's the stock header config). The exhaust pulse compensation would be better than individual 3 cyl banks shooting out of each pipe. Also, we can make something interchangeable, so that you can climb under and swap out the pieces as needed. The X pipe isn't welded in, so that gives us a lot of leeway nope, that's your excuse to get new shocks, bigger rims and tires. you're already running undersized tires for your car, 195/65/14? 205/60/15 would be more appropriate
  14. granted, it's only 2.5" but it's still a good deal since it's only $99 now http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PEC20/15-6037
  15. Yes. It's a full size UPS envelope to block the sun glare... along with everything else left of the driver. If I was a cop, I'd issue the fattest ticket possible and hold her up as long as I could. Before you say it, I was at a stop light.
  16. either use sheet metal screws to force the floor pan to the rail, put a jackstand where the floorpan bows under the baddog rail. lower car onto the baddog rail and jackstand, stitch weld it to the Z, and then let it settle. the baddog rail will pull the floor pan rail out for the most part
  17. Yesterday AJ (capt_furious) and I were working on his 260z, and I was swapping out his driver side halfshaft. The bolts on the hub side were frozen shut, and I couldn't get a good angle with an impact gun. So I figured, busted shaft, I'll cut it in half with my angle grinder. Well, it worked, and worked well. Except that in such a small confined space, all the sparks landed on my work glove, set it on fire and burned through teh nylon material. So here I am, glove on fire, angle grinder at 11,000 rpm, smoke, pain, lots of profanity.... Fortunately, no serious burn or anything, but it was pretty shitty

  20. you know, with my bad puns, gygax is probably rolling in his grave...
  21. yep. off delacruz blvd, there's a street called Roberts in San Jose, by the airport. The street loops, but at the bottom of the loop there's a recycling yard, and an accurate scale (within 20 lbs) on the sidewalk. pull up in hte evening, it's pretty clear, and readout is across the street in a booth window. In the pic, hte bmw is on t he scales map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=robert+ave,+san+jose,+ca&sll=37.36545,-121.941204&sspn=0.020704,0.04549&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=addr
