  1. Here is a quick picture. The flanges are here and plenum bases are here. I'm just trying to locate some boxes. Regards, Justin
  2. ♥♥♥♥, I wish I was in California... Justin
  3. Your SRT4 has a catalytic converter along with 2 resonators. That is the reason it doesn't have a muffler. A straigth pipe off of the turbo can be fairly loud... From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_SRT-4 "Exhaust fumes exited through a catalytic converter, two resonators and a stainless steel mandrel bent 2.25-inch (57.15 mm) exhaust piping system, which split into two at the rear without mufflers."
  4. I just got word that the flanges have arrived. I will take some pictures when I get home from work. I will try and get the orders boxed up this next week. I will get everyones orders out by end of next week at the latest. I'll gather up boxes this weekend. Regards, Justin
  5. Yeah, I need to work on reading what I type before hitting send. Its just so hard when I'm sneaking on Hybrid-Z while at work
  6. Stimulus Check? What Are You Buy? I'm thinking I'll be putting the money towards converting to StandAlone on my 280z to make it more fuel efficient Justin
  7. I'm looking for someone to CNC the part I have shown in these pictures out of ABS plastic. The diameter is 1.125" X 2.75" tall. Where would you go to have something complex like this machined. I have the solidworks file for this part and can provide any file format off of that. Regards, Justin

    Aem?

Found this on the AEM Forum: The setup on my car uses a AEM 1040 unit with a custom wiring harness used in a 1971 Datsun 510 with a 1975 280z engine . That said, Ford EDIS ignition components are used as they are commonly avalable and would provide the VR signal the EMS would be looking for. A friend who is a tech at a Ford dealer provided a manual that explained Ford DIS systems in great detail as well as a Cam Position sensor from a 2005 V6 Mustang. I won`t go into the particulars of making a EMS for a Honda recognise a Ford VR signal, but it required profanity, a call to AEM and some resistors. The EDIS 36-1 wheel was modified to a 12 tooth wheel, I know the AEM has the ability to use an unmodified wheel but best results in providing a signal the AEM recognises were with a 12 tooth wheel. The cam position sensor was mounted in an Nissan 81 turbo dist using a "tooth" mounted on a custom made dist rotor. No EDIS module is used an AEM Twin Fire takes care of that and an EDIS coil is used obviously as a wasted spark setup. The system works great all the way to the 7200 redline and has several thousand street miles with no ignition hiccups. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2071134"

    Aem?

I just purchased a AEM 1050 to use when I put my 2JZ swap into my 280z. I'd like to install the AEM 1050 on my l28 to get practice tuning and such. Looks like I'll use a 280zx CAS for my input trigger. Regards, Justin
  10. Yeah, The final drive is the same between the glide and the Th400. I think since I plan on using the R230TT w/ 3.69:1 R&P, the glide 1st would be helpful. If I used that rear gear on a TH400, I'd be shifting pretty fast out of 1st. Justin
  11. Anyone have this R230 kit fully installed? I'm pretty interested. Just want to see how people are doing. Justin
  12. My thinking is the long 1st gear will be easier on the radials. It will also allow me to use the stock ring and pinion in the R230TT as well. Justin
  13. Current Setup Planning: Car: 1977 Datsun 280z w/ factory unibody w/ cage Weight: 2750-2850lbs w/ driver Engine: Toyota 2JZ 185ci. 9500rpm redline Turbo: Borg Warner S480 T6 1.32 A/R. Supports 1150WHP. Nitrous: Used to flash the converter and spool turbo to 40psi. Tires: MT 275/60-15 Radials on 8†wheel Suspension: Independent Rear Differential: 3.69:1 R&P LSD w/ 9.05†ring gear. Wheel Base: 90.7†I’m trying to decide between the TH400 and Glide for this car. I will be driving this car on the street and on some short trips. I think the glide would be better for launching on the radials. What do you guys think I should do? Do you guys think I'll have trouble cruising around town with this small engine and the steep first gear? TH400 Ratios: 2.48:1 1st 1.48:1 2nd 1:1 3rd Glide Ratios: 1.76:1 1st 1:1 2nd Regards, Justin Olson
  14. Looks like I need to discuss the release of information more before I can make the decision. I will keep you guys posted. Justin
  15. I'm starting to get interested in a Z31 project. Could you guys post your favorite Z31's? Heres my favorite so far: Regards, Justin
  16. Here is my cage model so far. I'm going to add a set of swing out door bars along with tubes going forward and back to the strut towers.
  17. Sound s like compressor surge. I'm sure the port shroud compressor covers will clear this issue up for you. Regards, Justin
  18. The major problem is I wouldn't mix and match the RB-R and RB. Currently, the RB-R is available in 17x8.5. It is not currently available in 17x7.5. Currently, the RB is available in 17x7.5. It is not currently available in 17x8.5. Looks like you need to do one size or the other. http://www.rotawheel.com/AVAILABILITY.htm Justin
  19. Once I'm finished with shipping out these prototype flanges I will release the 3D cad data for the flange and plenum base. That way anyone that wants to can make one of these flanges. Justin
  20. Both the flanges and plenum bases are finished. Regards, Justin
  21. Yep, the flanges are done. I payed the balance on the flanges yesterday and they ship to me on monday. I will be boxing up everyones orders next week when they arrive and getting them shipped out all at once. I'm hoping the order arrives by next friday to me so I can box them up and ship them out a week from monday. Regards, Justin
  22. Funny the reason I like this is because my dad has a 68 firebird that we always drive around in. Justin
