  1. Lets get this straight, the threaded hole in the left side of the 200zr oil pan is for a oil temp sending unit. Which is the same part number as any z31 with a digital dash. It is a m-16x 1.0 thread. I have made a few adapters for my oil temp sending unit to a 1/8 npt autometer sending unit. Also if need be I can test my original oil temperature sending unit (z31) to see if it has the same resistance at different temps.
  2. It seems that there is a lot of variation in munbers for when the ringlands actually crap out. Jtaylor was running 600whp before his broke. I think there are others that have had the ringlands crap out closer to 400whp?
  3. I am suprised that they dont make you drill a 1" hole in the sidewall. I work for GM and we have to do this to all of the tires that will be disposed of and not reused. Of course I gan get many other parts for little to no cost, like ls2 coils.
  4. Those seats are Z31 seats. I can weigh mine, but I believe that the drivers seat alone weighs about 60lbs. They are something like 12 way power?
  5. For ME? Awwww thank you! I envy you and your car(s). Way to pwn that acura!
  6. Wouldnt this be the same senario as the gt4088 cold side? It is the same exact cold side housing, right? Both are close to .70 cold side.
  7. I am going to switch over to lsx coils this winter. I already have my set of 8 from a 6.0L aluminum block ls2(?). BTW FREEBIES FTMFW! Also they have ingiters built in like the series 2 rb25's. Oh and Andy congrats on the ROTM on Nico and 300zxclub!
  8. That is very wrong. Aussies did get the t25 just like us. Ask 300zxt he has two of them.
  9. Well I took the car to the strip today and the first 4 runs were under stock boost, the best was... 2.129 60' 5.839 330' 8.899 1/8 @ 79.963 11.454 1000' 13.720 1/4 @ 104.105 The best run I had at 13.5psi was a 2.066 60' 5.723 330' 8.754 1/8 @ 80.936 11.289 1000' 13.551 1/4 @ 104.121 About 150' from the 1/4 mark I was hitting the rev limiter in 3rd gear in all of the runs except for one. Didnt get to weigh the car, but I am pretty sure it is around 3000-3100lbs. Next time I will get the times down further. The first half of the runs I was spinning in 2nd, then the track was prepped and I didnt have any more traction problems. Any how here is a video of a high boost run that I botched the launch, I didnt slip the clutch I just side stepped it and bogged really badly.
  10. why not go with a 3082r, it has the same exhaust side that you are currently running and the gt35r compressor side. You could get the same exact boost response if you choose the .63 turbine side housing. But you would still be able to flow enough air for 600hp. link... http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=GRT-TBO-032&Category_Code=BCS Holsets are nice though, go to the scrapyard find a cummins diesel and take it. They can be found for under $400, but I have heard that you will need to port the wastegate area a LOT to not get boost spike and creep. There are a lot of z31 guys running holsets and they seem to like them. Personally if you already have an externally gated turbo stay with it. Most if not all holsets are internally gated.
  11. I couldnt agree more. Do a search over at z31performance, you will find most if not all of the information you seek.
  12. LOL @ the video, I thought that was your car I have been seeing on other forums. Badass car! My 25 sounded almost exactly the same the first time I fired it up.
  13. Ron Tyler has posted the wiring diagrams for the LSx coils. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126189. It should be very easy to wire in some LSx coils to any RB. That and if you have a series 1 rb25 you can eliminate the factory ignitor, which can be a pita to source for a decent price. I think I will put some LSx coils on mine this winter. Hell you buy them brand new from napa for ~$40 each.
  14. Z U L8R, I have heard that the buick GN coils are good up to around 700hp before there isnt enough dwell to keep up. Were as our factory coils are iffy around 450hp.
  15. careless, I could have swore that Z06 coils have the ignighters integrated. So for a series 2 rb25det they may work, otherwise I guess the series 1 could be wired up directly eliminating the coil cover ignighter?
  16. try here, http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=219934
  17. Sure just a sec... http://z31performance.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6181. It looks like that when the server was changed over the pics werent saved. I'll PM him to post up more pics. If it asks you to be come a member or sign in, just click on forums, then members rides, then look for a thread started by Ken in AZ titled pics of my project.
  18. What a/r exhaust housing are you running and at what rpm does full boost come on at? Just wonderin if I may have gone too big on the exhaust side of mine.
  19. I just talked to scottyMIz and as long as it isnt raining Sunday is the day. They open up at noon and close down at 5. Be there!
  20. Good runs, You finally got me on the 60' times!!! I cant wait to have as much power as you do. . Spring time I should have close to 450whp, only time will tell.
  21. You wouldnt happen to be meeting up with steve would you? You have PM. Scotty is Aaron coming out? If not how would you feel about sunday? NM, I'll call you tonight.
  22. Pete, there is someone by the name of Ken in AZ that is putting a LQ9 into his Z31 right now as we speak. He has the problem with the alternator also. He aslo has a slight problem with the oil pan, it sits about 2" below the crossmember. But other than that It looks to have plenty of room to work on everything easily.
  23. It looks like you have been working your butt off on the EMS forums. Good job!
  24. So what time? Are the Ferg's coming out? Did you monkey pen1s your IC tubes? LOL
  25. Triple B, I know of a few guys that are running these specific clutches on their 500+ lb/ft tq vehicles and they are holding up very well. I love my nismo unsprung clutch and pressure plate, but I dont think it will hold up to ~500whp for long. The z32 n/a pressure plate is the same exact bolt pattern as the rb's. I am using the factory flywheel for my car. I am not a fan of aluminum flywheels, but if you can find a reputable light wieght billet flywheel I would probably buy one.
