  1. Not much for an update but, I installed a greddy profec B spec 2 and tried to turn up the boost however at 6psi in 4th gear the actuator was bleeding off restricting it to only 6psi. I imagine the I have a setting incorrect, hopefully I will have that sorted out by this weekend weather providing. My dash by Zmech is finished and in transit, should be here by friday. Here is a pic of my dash. Maybe I will have some videos of the car in action by this weekend also. On the way home from the woodward dream curise I encountered a 84-89 vette on long lake road. He was doing a burnout right next to me and he said wanna run that turd? I rev and tell him that I am not going to warm up the tires or turn up the boost, just go on green. So the light turns green he gets a crazy holeshot on me by about 2-3 cars. I make up most of the difference by the end of 1st and pass him by the middle of 2nd, by the end of 3rd I have about 6 cars on him and I slow down for the next light. He completely avoids me and turns at that light. I believe that he was a little embarassed that a nissan could beat his vette. I installed my instrument cluster today and works so far, I havent checked the speedometer or the gas guage(digital sending unit). Here are a few pics... I will be going to the dealer to get my analog fuel sending unit and CLSD seals. Intall of the clsd will probably be tomarrow or the next day and track sometime in the next few weeks. The top boost guage was used for pre-intercooler boost monitoring and the lower one is for manifold boost. I was measuring the pressure drop in the intercooler. Now the top guage is dead as I dedicated its vacuum source to the greddy profec B spec 2 EBC. I will be replacing the top boost guage with a wideband guage/controller. Once again this cluster needs to be seen in person to really appreciate it. It is B - E - A - utiful. Here is a pic that Darren-zmech sent to me after he was done with it. Anyone who wants a superb instrument cluster contact zmech, as you can see He does badass work.
  2. Niether of the Bosch number interchange with anything in napa's system. I looked up the bxd and the bxn numbers with no results.
  3. If nobody gets an alternator interchange number for the rb25, I will be doing it this winter when it is all torn down again.
  4. Scotty and Ferg, I am jealous of your s30's wanna trade? Either of you guts wanna do a drag day? I think as soon as I get my guages in I am going to hit up ubly or lapeer.

  8. Ok, here is the napa starter part number 2444517, Orielly's part number is 16203. I have heard that the solenoid will interfere with some rb coolant hoses, but I believe that J. Soileau RB26zcar is running this starter with no problems? And scottyMIz? J. Soileau RB26zcar could you post up the part number of the alternator that you bought?

  11. I havent fabbed up the lines yet, I havent had the time. They are 90% done though. I will get at the lines in a few weeks as of right now. I have woodward this weekend, WMZ meet and wedding next weekend. Hopefully once I get my gaskets for the clsd I can get it all done at the same time.
  12. I will be keeping a close eye on all of the Z's in the pick n pull. If I find another one I will sell that one. I plan on keeping this CLSD however. There are a few s30's and s130's in the same pick n pull, I think I am going to look underneath those to see if they have recieved the swap yet. One s130 is super clean just got fresh paint, I took the hood vents off of that car.
  13. At my local pick n pull, I paid $43 for a rearend with half shafts. I would expect to pay closer to 90 though. More specifically I paid $43 for a 1988 z31 clsd and half shafts...   14. Not with q45, but a j30, s13 and s14 with r200's. here are a few pics of other peoples setups... This is a tripod style. This is a DOB style.
  15. If you want to use the Z31T stub shafts you will have to assemble your own cv axles. You have to take parts from the q45 and install them onto the z31 axle.
  16. I was actually lookin for another rb30 yesterday. Good GOD they are cheap down there. I have also been looking for rb25de heads without vct, they arent as easy to come by. But we could always go with a rb26 head, but those cost a mint. I would rather just bolt a head on rather than tap it and put oil drains into it. Its a good thing you didnt go out on sunday for track time, it was raining down here. Sat would have been perfect.
  17. Ha, There is only 2 buttons one for changing gears like all auto cars. And the other is for overdrive. The z31 has an electronic overdrive.
  18. I asked Andy @ Auto Addictions to borrow their rb26 starter, he said no because of the customer oweing money to him. Sorry I couldnt get one for you. I would have let you use mine, but I will be at a car show on sunday with the car.

  20. Out of all 3-400 shiro's that I have seen ALL of them had power windows. I think you are referring to the california edition, which did not have power windows.
  21. Congrats Scotty! I am very envious of you and your car:icon46:. I want to come up there this weekend, but I have the car all apart again. I'll get a pic up of the speedo drive by tomarrow for you to compare, if its right you can have it.
  22. I love all of my Z31's. Especially the parts car and the RB powered one. I just wish I got to drive my cars more often.
  23. The original axles are rare as you said, But anyone who knows about the j30 rearends and its ability to swap inner cv joints onto z31 shafts, they are just over priced. Not to anyone who knows about http://www.z31parts.com . Jason makes great products for the Z31's. He has a lot more parts in development/testing stages right now.
  24. Dont know when they will be back up there. If you want to pick it up this weekend that will be cool also. I work on saturday from 8am-3pm. But someone will be at the house. I will call you as soon as I get off of work tonight. Ha, Yea mine rane like crap with no signal from the maf, but it ran.
