  9. I got $40 that says my poor old Holset car will trash it from a dig:biggrin: Looking good Jeff...Get it back on the street fast, there were 3 new Z's at the meet the other night.
  10. The first thing i thought when i saw that car was..Whiteboy. He use to have a orange Z that looked very similar, is that his old car? I see your on DFWSS, does he still have that black Z?
  11. Bottum end: Stock N block from 77 Z ARP main/Rod/Head 2mm Metal Head Gasket 7:1 compression Bone stock P90 head 60mm 240sx throttle body N42 non-egr intake ported to TB Stock exhaust manifold/Tial 38mm welded on Holset HY35W with puck welded Filter on turbo..working on CAI 2.5 intercooler piping and 12X24 intercooler Aeromotive FPR and wallboro 225 pump Pallnet rail with Supra 440cc injectors MS&S 2.2 Spec stage 2+ clutch (feels stock but holds) Jegs universal radiator Taylor wires NGK plugs Full boost hits @ around 3100-3300 15 PSI worked out to 280rwhp and 330rwtq around 60 degrees outside with 2.25 exhaust 20 PSI worked out to 308rwhp and 360rwtq around 95 degrees outside with no exhaust 25 PSI with the new meth kit running 100% Meth ???? Haven’t tuned yet??? The Heat really made a HUGE difference in power...the 280rwhp was using a 2.25 exhaust and the 308 had no exhaust but was hot outside!!! I wonder what the 308 would be if it was 60 degrees outside? Going back to the dyno soon so I may play with a few things…Tune the car for the 25PSI on meth –or- Leave the car @ 20PSI and hit it with a Wet 75 shot. Still haven’t decided which way to go yet. I have 4 blocks in my garage so I might just have to see what the stock block will hold with a good tune.
  12. I will let you know! I may just skip the Z and put them in my truck, but for now the plan is to put them in the Z. Your car is looking good!
  13. I got my seats in yesterday and was suprised with the quality. They look great for such a cheap seat! They told me 7 to 10 days and they both arrived together on the 4th day.

    Oval tubing?

I was looking into Oval type tubing and Drgas.com has all the answers. They dont show alot of bends on their site but if you call them they can pretty much do it all. They also have really cool mufflers that are only like 2.5" thick.
  15. How tall are you? Whats your head to roof clearance?
  16. Well im 6'2" as well and ordered the seats Friday so i hope i can come up with a way to get them to fit me and the car. Maybe removing some of the seat mount material would help (part connected to floor). If they dont fit i can always throw them in my truck!
  17. You could buy a 4" V-band and weld one side of it to the Housing...Seen it done and appears to hold up pretty well.
  18. I just went out and got a meth kit too! Aem has an affordable kit as well as coolingmist, Devilsown, alkycontrol(razor) and im sure there are others. Some kits include jugs and some dont so watch out for that. some sell plastic quick connects and some sell plated metal, so pick which ever you prefer. Contollers seem to vary a little but all seem to do the same thing basically. If you have intentions of running high boost you could go with a 3 bar controller if not stick with the 2 bar. Personally i am running my system as a stand alone type with its own dedicated map sensor for reliability/ease of use so you may want to consider that into your cost. I liked the idea of an external nozzle so i went with a Devilsown nozzle. My kit cosists of : Devils own: Nozzle, pump, 2 bar controller Cooling mist: line, quick fittings(metal), check valve, adapters, tank misc: gm map sensor I pieced my kit together and looking back on it i could of bought Razors kit for around the same price! make sure when you consider a kit to check all the parts that come with the kit or you may end spending more than buying a rtr kit.
  19. Stroker bottum end (as you said), Ported P90 head with a web or Isky cam, all associated head work, nice set of forged rods, Megasquirt, BW or other brand nice sized turbo, Direct port Methanol injection, 50-100 shot to spool the turbo, Custom intake and exhaust manifold, Forged internals, 8:1 compression, Pallnet fuel rail with 700cc injectors, all associated gauges and wideband to monitor your new motor. Custom plate set-up that allowas you to run a gm tranny such as a th350 or glide....If an auto isnt your thing you could save alot of money and go with the Z32 tranny and Mazworx adapted or Hoke's if he has any left. A set-up like this could put out 550+ if its tuned and built right..and as long as the fuel system and other supporting parts are up to snuff. 550rwhp in a Z is Alot...I would personally build the chassis and suspension to handle the power and then work on the motor.
  20. Jatco 4N71 transmission From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia L4N71B/E4N71B Manufacturer Jatco Production 1983–1997 Predecessor 3N71 Successor 4R01 Class 4-speed longitudinal automatic transmission The 4N71 was a 4-speed automatic transmission from Nissan Motors. It was available as wither a light-duty ("L4N71B") or medium-duty ("E4N71B") unit for rear wheel drive vehicles with longitudinal engines. Applications: L4N71B 1983–1984 Nissan Maxima 1984–1988 Nissan 200SX 1984–1989 Dodge Conquest 1984–1986 Plymouth Conquest 1984–1988 Mazda RX-7 1984– Mitsubishi Starion 1986–1989 Nissan Pathfinder 1986–1989 Mazda Pickup 1986–1989 Nissan pickup 1987–1989 Nissan Van 1989–1995 Mazda MPV 1990–1993 Mazda Pickup 1991–1997 Mazda Miata E4N71B 1984–1989 Nissan 300ZX 1984–1989 Dodge Conquest 1987–1988 Nissan 200SX Found this in a quick search
  21. What was required to run the L4n71B box behind the L series? direct bolt up, adapter plate needed, etc The purpose of the auto would be to make 1/4 mile times consistent. The motor will soon be making a little over 400rwhp I hope. The five speed z32 trans would be nice and do the job but with the way i drive i think the auto would be the better choice. I dont really do alot of track (roadcoarse) driving. I take the car to the 1/4 mile every now and then, and hunt down the occasional street car that underestimates the Zcar.
  22. If the Z32 5 spd bolts right up with the Mazworx adapter than i would think the Auto would be the same. Just wondering if anyone here has done this swap and has any info on the results. Talked to Mazworx yesterday and they said they didnt see a problem with the set-up but i would like to know if anyone has actually done the swap yet. After some late night reading it seems that the Z32 Auto can handle decent power (who knows for how long). If you have any info post up! Searched and came up with nothing
  23. Hey texis You wanna run your car, my car, and a buddys car at the classic jap gathering? Its close to mexico:flamedeviaka the spot
