i got it started last night. I turned down my pw @ -40 to 2.5 and 160 to .1 cleaned the spark plugs and matched the timing... I am still getting reset codes right when i turn MS on and the computer running but will deal with that once i get a good tune for the car.

i turned my pw down to 2.5 @ -40 degrees F degrees F and .1 @ 160 degrees F to help from flooding the engine while setting timing. I also took out the spark plugs and wiped them down (soaked in gas). It sounds to me like your engine is flooded with gas or i should say the spark plugs to be more specific . I was having a similar problem well i get idle now but i had to set my trigger offset to 11 (using timing light) which was confusing since i quite dont understand trigger offset. is 11 btdc ok? p.s. good thing you had your gf doing cranking the car...i had a remote trigger hooked up to the battery and all of a sudden it started and sounded like crap so i had to rush and plug the ignition wire in...lol...good times.

Hi guys, i recently got a 77z with megasquirt already installed in it(MSII). I been trying to figure out why i am not getting spark for the past 3 weeks and in need of help. The car is completely stock with 240sx tps set at 7 psi until my wb and intercoolering piping gets here and i am running ms2 ver. 2.885. The car will crank but not fire up. I can smell gas and datalogging confirms i am getting fuel. I had sent the Ms board to DIY because my computer wouldnt reflash it correctly got it back and now the light flashes when cranking which it didnt before. (as i think it should to show tach signal). I also am getting the reset notifcation even before i crank (right when i turn ingition into ON position). And i also noticed my spark advance from my datalog to always stay on 40.5 (attached datalog). the coil is fine and the plugs look soaked in fuel when i take them out. config5_18_08.msq.zip datalog6.xls.zip

I prolly seen it minus trailer...I was surprised when i moved down here on how many 350z are out...I even see them driving in the rain with the top down:hs:. My friend was telling me to go to that track when i got my Z on the road...14.2 is good for a stock 350z

yeah the guy on the show was working with an Art designer to do it for like a sub woofer cover or door panels and he was taking forever to do it..It looked to be a simple process just tedious...

thats the problem with body work...you never know if your doing it right...i ran into the same problems when changing my floor pans...I will give you one short advice...if you go in, go all in or your just going to chase your tail...I was about 90% done with my floors then decided to sand blast my engine bay and found tons more rust...if i was to do it over i would have just driven it since it was mechanically sound and found a better starting point. But dont give up, just make sure you know what your getting into before doing the repairs.

definetly get a screen...OSHA came to my plant trying to pull that on us when we had all the screen in plain site...OSHA fines are pretty pricy.

sorry to hear about your car...for some reason someone keeps breaking into my dads car for a jack. happened twice. I mean come on...if you want to barrow it he's not going to say no...but then again thats nyc.
