    Sr20 Z

Hey SR240Z, I read somewhere that you are running a R180 diff with a 2 way lsd. Besides the fact that you have a lsd with it, do you recommend going with a r200 diff with a 4 cylindar swap, or would you say stay with the r180 and save some trouble and just not deal with it?
  2. S30 and S130 are chassis designations not packaged options. And as stated before he ment s130 (280zx). I would like to see an example of s31. Don't think they made a car with that chassis designation.
  3. recheck head bolts to seeif they are torqued down to spec.
  4. see if any of the bushing for the diff need to be replaced. thats kinda what happend to me. And check to see if you half shaft joints are worn.
  5. S31? do you mean s130? well anyways, th KA is considered to be a stronger block than the SR block, BUT throwing a turbo on there without lowering compression is going to just cause a whole lot of problems, even if you tune the fuel system right. Me personally, I would stick with the L28 since its easier to turbo and have plenty of OEM turbo parts. But if I had a spare KA around I would think I would do the same thing.
  6. Isn't that common on carbed cars? Running a little rich I mean. Would think running it a little richer should help with the top end. advance the dizzy a little to run a little leaner.
  7. another place to look is the drainage hose that goes from the wiper motor area.the rubber hose goes (2" hose) attaches from the inside behind the dash to the lower section underneath the rear of the front fender.
  8. Thats not mine (wish it was), just something I found on here a while back and saved it on my computer. Found kinda what I'm looking for but not quite, its enough though. feel free to delete this thread.

    frame

  12. Not what I'm looking for. Though it might help later. What I'm looking for basically is fabbing the front half out of tubing I know I've seen somewhere on here of someone that has done what I'm planning on doing.I already have basically the whole front suspension off a 280z. Might have to look for a new steering column though. Edit: this is what I've looking for
  13. I just got another 260Z free. The front of it is totaled. I got it as a project car. I already have a spare L28 that I'm planing to throw in there. I was thinking about the whole front of the frame out of piping. I've searched and didn't really find what I was looking for. Some issues I'm looking have questions on: 1. TC rods and strut mounting points placements 2. body panel mounting 3. Some other issues That I might come across.
  14. When I saw "camo" in the title I, was having my doubts. But I must say it turned out quite good actually. Not a big fan of camo but that one point that can change my opinion. What type of flat black is on there? Is it rattle can or sprayed? It looks pretty even.
  15. Sorry I was under the impression that they would priced higher than under barrett jackson. $34k still not bad. I was thinking of the turboed GN. I think I read somewhere that they were a low production car ( for the turboed version).
  16. Thats a show car from I think 2002. I have a video clip somewhere of it when the news did a segment on SEMA I think. I think I got it from the streetglow websit a while ago. It was when the whole neon under car kits and color transisioning paint was in.
  17. I personally wouldn't do it, because the Grand national is a collectors car and could go for bookoo bucks at auction for a decent one. But if you happen to find a totaled on then I don't see why not. This type of engine swap I would think would be one of there first time learning experience for everyone. Don't think you are going to find any "how to's" for this one.
