  1. I have a driveshaft I can measure for you. It fits a 700r4 and t56. Here you go:
  2. Hei will fit, it depends on how you set your motor. My hei hit the firewall a tad. I went with an external coil msd pro billet. It has a built in rev limit. And timing curve apsprings. Well worth the money
  3. Got it done today. http://www.imgur.com/5fr1uEH.jpeg
  4. Car is a 77' 280z Just asking if this is the proper place to splice in a line lock. It is single Inlet, single outlet. I'm not sure If it would mess with the block the lines are coming out of. Thanks http://www.imgur.com/kTmUluc.jpeg
  5. I just looked it up. Your motor is internally balanced. Get an internally balanced oem flywheel.
  6. All gm transmissions fit both 168 and 153 flexplates as for the starter, straight bolt = 153 spread bolt = 168
  7. Look at your harmonic balancer, is it internal or externally balanced? It sometimes will have an extra weight on inner circumference in the side cloesest to the engine block. This is very important, if its internally balanced with no weights you should be "okay" with an oem. If its externally balanced, you could try and run an oem flywheel but there is always a chance of running the motor off balance and destroying it
  8. Arp main and head studs should be mandatory for this build. I'd suggest a forged assembly if you're boosting it. If you ever run lean you could explode a cast piston and break everything
  9. I use pins so that's not an issue. I'm going to check the steel mill for some bars and fab up a brace.
  10. Both of yours fit perfect, my sbc sits back real close to the firewall. The distributor only has 1.5" of space before it hits.
  11. Had a guy text / call me 2 days ago haven't heard anything back since. Still looking.
  12. What type of intake? Where does the strut bar cross over? Most intakes are sorta flat right past the water pump inlet. Mine has long runners start almost immediately after so I don't know if it'll fit.
  13. My motor is out for clearaning / rotating assembly balancing (more on this later, I plan on taking lots of photos and I will make a DIY engine build thread) But what I want to know is how well the strut tower braces clear? I will have a tunnel ram on my car and am curious on how tight the fit is. And lastly, anyone have one of those neat triangulated ones with a v8 swap?
  14. Sold the r180 locally. Still looking for an r200 3.90, I will pm you.
  15. Ill take photos when I get home, but it is a 3.90 I'd make a for sale thread but my subscription just ran out for this forum.
  16. The r180 or r200 I know the 200 is kinda hard to find. I know very little about the r180s
  17. Edit: my r180 has 67k miles
  18. Junkyard sent me the wrong diff. They refuse to reimburse me and will not send out the correct differential. The stock numbers on my receipt and the carrier don't even match up.. So wtt/wtb a 3.90 r200
  19. Rods not needed. For a friend, text 716-445-0883 or pm here.
  20. I can get pictures of the 280z one.. How different are they?
  21. I'm just going to weld mine up, I would most likely break the lsd using the bottle potential huge waste of money for me Johnc is looking for a 4.37 right now.
  22. You could weld a stud down and use a slide hammer if you dont want to pull it. Do you have a 240z? I didnt have any fitment problems.. I even bashed my tunnel in so seats would fot
  23. I will keep you in mind, I want to hold out one more week just incase a 4.11 shows up
