  1. Yup that is a VG30 out of a Z31. They must have done some extensive porting on the heads and ultra high compression to get 300hp in NA form. Also a custom cam as well. I have never seen the Z31-VG30 NA belt out that kind of power. If I had to do a similar build up, I would take the 3.3L block out of the second gen. Pathfinders (VG33) and can be easily bored to a 3.4L. Yasin
  2. Bob H - Yes my bad! The spring rating is 250pounds per inch not per square inch - thanks for the catch. Pete P - Great point about getting new springs in 25pound increments if you accidently get a too stiff spring. For me, I wanted the adjustablitiy with the coil overs plus also wanted a more modern suspension. Lowered springs and good struts would have been easier and excellent too, but I guess I wanted the challenge of the coil over conversion. Regards - Yasin
  3. You want a spring that is rated at 200psi for the front and 250psi for the rear. The stiffer spring is required in the rear of our cars as they squat so badly under hard acceleration, especially from a standing stop. With this set-up, the car will be very streetable but stiff enough to eliminate major body roll if you do hobby type weekend racing or really spirited driving. If you were putting a V8 in your Z, add 50psi to each of the numbers above. The springs you want will be 2.5" in diameter. Hope that helps - Yasin
  4. Brad D - Sweet Z and looking forward to seeing more pics of your RB swap. Looks menacing - good luck. Yasin
  5. Hi Daw, Sounds like your 720 is set-up similar to my 720. I actually took the NAPS-Z24, bored it out to 90.5mm, extensively ported the head, added an Isky cam, twin DCOE45 webers and Doug Thorley headers. I also ordered custom pistons for it and had the compression sitting at 9.5:1. This set-up worked extremely well and I was very pleased with the torque and overall power of the Z24, even though its not one of the better breathing motors. I spent a lot of time extracting as much power from that engine, as was pleased with the end result. I kept this set-up in my truck for about 2years and then sold the motor to a 510 owner and then dropped a FJ22 into the truck. Regards - Yasin
  6. I wonder if the Typhoon owner craped his pants when he heard the sirens. Enjoy! .mpeg]http://www.sportmachines.com/videos/donut[1].mpeg Yasin
  7. Hi TK - Can you give an idea of the price of the headers - they look great. Thanks - Yasin
  8. Motegi make some very nice wheels at an attractive price and I actually looked at them when I recently purchaed a set of wheels for my Z. As was mentioned all their stuff is FWD with a large positive offset, so be prepared to run spacers. Good luck. Regards - Yasin
  9. GillSS1 - Cool and interesting swap - good luck and let us know how you do and progress. RacerX - Interesting read, pity you don't have any pics to share with us. But sounds like the SHO motor (especially twin turbo'd) would make a pretty awesome project, and some serious horsepower. I have always had a soft spot for the SHO and of course the Yamaha engine is definately the jewel in the package. Regards - Yasin
  10. Yup the Type R is an awesome ride - one of the best Honda products for sure. It is a pity to see such an awesome car "traying" but oh well - who am I to comment. Yasin
  11. You guys and gals will love this: http://www.eddiesun.net/~trey/VtecAtlanta.wmv The skid plates under the wheels of the HondasAcuras are pretty funny - what people will do for some kicks. The Ram is sweet - the driver even looks a little bored and you have to love the Bar-B-Q pit in the back. Enjoy! Yasin
  12. Awesome...awesome! I love it. Keep us posted on the progress of the car. Yasin
  13. Tomahawk - Thanks for the plug buddy! If I understand your question correctly, the tube that you are refering to is actually a sleeve for the threaded collar to rest against. I used this sleevetube to give the threaded collar a clean straight edge to rest against rather than running a bead of weld around the strut housing. I have not expereienced any bump steer issues going over pot holes and train tracks. Mind you, I have completely changed me driving style now that the car is lowered, such that I go around every pot hole and take train tracks at an angle - sometimes veering a little into the opposing lane. You get lots of strange looks from other drivers - oh well! Regards - Yasin
  14. Mike - how do you like that Blaster II coil? Any considerable difference over OE? Regards - Yasin
  15. Greg - I recently installed 20mm roll centers on my '83 ZXT when I rebuilt the entire suspension including a coil over conversion. I lowered my car about 2" in total. You can see pictures of the Roll Centers and the set-up at: www.picturetrail.com/slownrusty go under "Coil Over Conversion" Hope that helps - Yasin
  16. Len - Congrats buddy - sounds awesome! you are making me jealous, I have to get off my butt and get my NPR IC installed and boost controller. Good luck on the oil leak - gosh I hate drips coming from the car! Regards - Yasin
  17. I am using the coil off a 1988 300Zx Turbo - pretty easy to wire up and the performance thus fra from it has been great mcuh better than the stock 20,000volt coil. I got mine for $5 at the scrap yard. Regards - Yasin P.S: If you check some older posts from last week I have written how to do this mod.
  18. SSS510 that is one SICK 510! WOW! (& clean and straight too - just the way we like them!). Congrats, looks like you have an incredible amount of time and $$ invested in that project. Yasin
  19. Thought I would share this with you guys and gals. I have watched this video about half a dozen times and I am hooked. I have never seen a speedometer needle move faster than a tach needle ever before. I would love to have this bike, but would probably be dead after a few hours of ownership. Enjoy! http://members.telocity.com/superkaos1/NLRturbo.wmv Regards - Yasin
  20. That looks like a bomb went off in there holy cripes! What car is that out of? I can see the twin turbos - I can't even make out if its a V6 oe V8. WOW......that sucks big time! Yasin
  21. Glad I was able to help! Regards - Yasin
  22. Len - you don't need to clip the plug. Just separate the two TPS harness wires from the factory shrink wrap and it will give you quite a bit of slack. I am also running the 240SX TB and TPS on my car. Regards - Yasin
  23. Mike - Here is my email address: slownrusty@yahoo.com If you send me your mailing address i can send you a ZX lower control arm. Regards - Yasin
  24. Mikelly - Just visted your website - beautifully engineered parts. I was just wondering if you make anything for the '79 - '83 ZXs? Thanks - Yasom
