  1. Wow that's definitely looking good. Keep it up! I'm sure i'll be in that position soon enough!
  2. sorry i just found that funny:shock:
  3. I love it! I really like the spoiler and diffuser. Is that vent on the bottom just above the diffuser for the exhaust?
  4. OUCH. yea that website has a lot of good stuff at really good prices, wire loom/heatshrink (the double layered kind that has an extra layer that seals water tight) wire and a whole bunch of other stuff.
  5. Found something a bit better than those: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=330-075 for $1.75 it's not too shabby. Of course the more you buy the better the price.
  6. LOL. Imma send that to the girlfriend. HAHAHAHHA
  7. Thanks guys for all the good Input. I even asked my Pops about that welder and he basically said the same thing you guys did get one that has gas and voltage adjustablility. Looks Like I'll be getting a Miller soon.
  8. I plan on building an L6 Z, although i am tempted just to restore it to original form. Then get another Z and go happy with it. I have tried Craigslist in the past I haven't looked recently I shall try.
  9. Yea I knew it was pretty nasty as olderthanme pointed out on the pictures it's got rust galore. Like I had said I wasn't worried about the extra work but I just wanted to make sure that it was toooooo much rust to deal with. Maybe it's a good parts car? LOL
  10. Hello all I'm currently looking for a Z and I found this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-Datsun-240Z_W0QQitemZ160015389030QQihZ006QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem. so far it's going for $50 plus i'd have to get it shipped over here. anywho my question is based on those pics do you guys think it'll be worth it to buy and rebuild? or should I just keep looking? It looks like it has quite a bit of rust. I'm willing to put the elbow grease in it but is it gonna have tooo much elbow grease? thanks Mike
  11. I can't see the vid. is it still optimizing?
  12. that's what I was thinking. I noticed that a good majority of the people here use Miller and quite a few have the millermatic 135 or 175 i think it was. Im going to go window shopping for the miller welders and see some pricing differences.
  13. Hey everybody I'm looking for a welder to start practicing with, I found one local (well semi local) to me it is a Lincoln Electric Weld Pak 100HD Wire Feed Welder. The guy is asking $250 obo for it. I looked it up on home depot's site it retails for about $400 or so. Now I used to weld back in high school, freshman year to be exact, but then never continued with it so I'm pretty sure I have to brush up on the "skills" again. I'll be using this for some autobody work and some custom jobs and what not. I eventually want to weld stainless and aluminum but for now to start practicing I think this will work. I'm open to any suggestions as well. I do plan on taking some welding classes at the local Community college starting from the basics and on up to tig welding. thanks in advance. EDIT: So a few good "starter" welders: Cheap: Hobart Handler 140 Pricier: Millermatic 135 Millermatic 175 Lincoln 135
  14. that looks pretty bad ass. do you have any other sketches of the rest of the car?
  15. The projectors were 150 shipped. headlights were 200 shipped. HID D2s bulbs/balast/ignitor $250 6k temp (local buddy sells them) labor $275 (I can do them myself now) total cost about $875. If I would have got OEM hid/bulb/ballast it would have came out to right around 1k. At the moment i'm trying to sell this retro and get another retro using the Acura TL projectors with a ZKW lens.
  16. Personally I'd go with a true HID retrofit. I have a retrofit on my SRT-4. I bought some Audi RS6 Bi-xenon projectors and had them retrofitted into an aftermarket headlight housing. The output is Amazing. I drove to the local canyons (Angeles Crest) and boy did the light make a huge difference. Here are some pictures: Click these for a bigger picture:
  17. Why is it that I can't see any of the pics??? edit: ^^^^I see why....
