  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToYQ_fKLUpU Made my first youtube video. I do not reccomend driving at the speeds seen in this video. Be careful....
  2. Yeah makes sense. Thanks. Did you use the ~6 inch long carbide bits to get to the middle of the runner? Im hoping to try and use the band saw at my high school to cut it open, and then Ill try to get some alumalloy or similar to patch the holes. Got a few more questions.. You mentioned rotating the Tb opening. Do you think its worth the hassle to do? I really dont have access to many tools other then an angle grinder and a heavy duty dremel. Would I see much improvement over the stock position? (with 60mm 240sx Tb pictured)? Wish I had a tig welder. Thanks
  3. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Primary question was how to remove the egr valve as shown in the picture. I understand youd cut it off and weld it closed.... just dont know how I should do it. I was hoping to get some pictures or instructions from people that had done it before.
  4. Glad you got it running. Still going to sell it. One problem with the EFI bible is it probably doesnt say under troubleshooting, "Check to see if the Afm is off the proper car: Eg. AFM says Ford on side when motor is obviously made by Kia."
  5. If there was enough slack for the window to come out of the rails you have a more serious problem... Pull the doorpanel and see if the runners are loose.
  6. Im guessing the fines for the mods are more than the parts prices added up... not worth it.. Just wondering how can you have a custom jdm part... isnt that like custom stock?
  7. Thanks Tony, I had seen some alumiloy commercials on TV, Ill have to look into it. Seems pretty easy. Specifically for MONZTER, but anybody else that has ported the stock runners, what was the interior dimensions? From what I can feel and see from inside the plenum there arent any bumps and it is pretty smooth. So the only improvements I could make are opening them up alittle. Also Monzter what did you use to cut open your manifold?
  8. Thanks, any update past this? Im actually thinking this isnt a zx turbo manifold. Which years had the manifold that narrowed down in the back like yours?
  9. Anyone cut the egr valve like so off of a 280zx turbo manifold? Im in the process of shaving my manifold and wont be using the egr. I dont mind the rail on the bottom, but dont like the look of the blocked off valve. I remember seeing someone removing the egr system completely but cant find the thread. Im also limited on tools. Ive got a grinder with cut off wheels and a radial metal chop saw... and a wood band saw, maybe try to get a metal blade? Thanks
  10. Any update? Im getting anxious about tearing mine apart... what will I find... When I was trying to remove the knock sensor connections they just snapped.
  11. I got all the other bongs off and smoothed most of the plenum. But Im ending up with some large holes. Can this be welded up? Also there was a port on the middle right runner, from the inside I can only see a hole for where the sensor screwed in so I still need to carefully grind it down smooth. Also need to do some porting for my 60mm tb, but Ill do that once I get the plenum apart.
