  1. For my smart alec response, remove the head... or get a coat hanger, and stick it in the spark plug hole to feel for a edge on the piston. If you dont fell an edge its flat top, if you do dished.
  2. Well started working on mine. Was able to get about 10 bosses shaved off and I still have around 8 more to go.... Snapped a picture of the inside, to my shock it was quite clean, other than all the little dimples from the screw holes. If I have time tomorrow Im going to go ahead and shave off the other bosses, and maybe try to cut off the egr port. Anyone know of a good way to fill in large holes? Like the one at the back of the manifold in the picture. Ill hopefully get most of the holes welded up before I cut the manifold open. (how...)
  3. There was the Ford Gr1 concept car at a auto show I went to, it was all polished aluminum and it looked terrible. You could see every little scratch and blemish. Im sure the chrome paint would be the same.

  7. Thanks for the pictures and the pm. Really looks nice! But would there be a possibility of this working with the stock ecu? Im sure you could get alot of benefit out of it with a standalone as you are doing, but would It be worth all the time and effort to make something similar and use with the stock fuel injection? Thanks

Would using the stock runners slightly bored out with a plenum like MONZTERS work with the stock turbo ecu? Would it work but not be worth the minute gains? I was also looking into Justin Olsons flanges. Maybe using his flange and similar runner and plenum dimensions so it remains closer to the stock but with flow gains. (custom manifold) Thanks

Ive been researching on HBZ about boost controllers and have found various brands both cheap and expensive, and than I saw these. You obviously get what you pay for but arent boost controllers simple by design. What makes this so cheap and would this work fine with a mild turbo motor? (10-12 psi) Im going to continue to search around HBZ looking for other options. Thanks
  11. That is very true, I went from 350, turbo L6, Lt1, turbo L6, na L6, turbo L6, 360, 318, turbo L6... That was in the last year or two. I finally made up my mind on the turbo L6 and bought myself an engine and have done my research accordingly.

  16. I bought a set of the 240z style fg bumpers from MSA and they came all scratched up with casting marks and they were wavy. Ive gotten alot of good stuff from MSA but I wasnt happy with the bumpers.

  18. Well Im not wanting 300hp neccecarily. I was thinking more like 225ish. I saw the comparison of ever psi you increase will provide around 10-15 hp. I was thinking 10-12 psi so that comes out to 225-255 hp. What are the charactaristics of the stock turbo. From what Ive read it will make boost at 3000 rpm. Is that the peak 7 psi or is that when the boost starts to increase?
