I went ahead and got the Upgrade motoring 10pc kit, for $311 shipped. Itll be here next week. I wish I had just bought it earlier so I could have installed it over spring break. Hopefully Ill get it in before school starts.

That is a S30 console there wont be any dimension issues. Ill try to get some dimensions when I get home.

Its off a 99 Rav4. The arm rest wasnt standard so It might be a little more expensive, but you can always hit the junkyard.

The console in my 78 was cracked (had a armrest) and the one in my 74 was perfect so I swaped them out. But I didnt have an armrest. A few weeks ago I broke the armrest in my Rav4 and I thought hey wonder If it fits, and it did. Went ahead and mounted it and this is what it looks like. I like how It came out, I should have moved if forward ~1/8 inch but it still works. The only other problem is it sets about 1/4 inch off the the deck of the console, but nothing noticable and it does its job. Yeah its grey, but Im gonna look into getting it recovered black. What you all think?

I know MSA sells one, Id maybe call them up, but dont listen to there crap about ~20hp gains, Im guessing that was on a very fuel starved engine, not a normal case.

I was approaching it from a artistic perspective.... Sort of like a cross hatched painting feel.... Reminds me of a photo my dad took of his TR3 back in the 70's had his car parked on the side of the road and the road snaked back in forth in the back of the photo. Ill try to scan it.

I like the design. What parts did you use for the connections? How did you neck down the larger tubing? Did you make it on a lathe?
